Our story began in February of 2018 when our two best friends wanted to hangout because they liked each other. Needless to say, Ashley tolerated Jackson because well if you know Jackson..... From the first night of us all hanging out the 2 boys continued to show up at Ashley's house (uninvited I may add) every single night after baseball practice. Within a couple nights Jackson was asking for Ashley's phone number because he "kinda likes her". She did give it to him thinking "oh I won't catch feelings for him he's too annoying." Within a few weeks Ashley was head over heels over this boy BUT he went to her rival school it would NEVER work out!
Fast forward a month and we decided to give this friendship we had begun a different title, at a baseball game of course! Yet again Ashley was still in denial thinking this won't last forever he's going off to college in a few months PLUS no one marries their high school boyfriend, right? While a couple years passed along with some ups and downs and some time apart (but were we really apart, we talked quite often). I think our friends and family would attest to a huge sigh of relief when our time apart ended with a completely different relationship that was so much stronger and healthier.
After another few years passed and we graduated college and started new jobs, Jackson decided it was time to give the relationship yet another new title: fiances!
On a beautiful Saturday in front of an important and significant location in Ashley's life with 2 of our closest friends - Jackson proposed! And I said yes, of course, and we popped the champagne in front of Carter Finely Stadium.
Everyone wants to know why we are taking a year and a half long engagement and the answer is pretty simple, the day that Jackson asked Ashley to be his girlfriend was March 16, 2018, it would only be fitting to get married that same weekend, so why not get married on Pi Day!
We are so excited to spend the culmination of nearly seven (eight when we tie the knot) years of hard work, laughs, tears, and a whole lot of love together with all of YOU!
We truly appreciate all of your love and support over the last seven years and are so grateful to give you all a weekend of fun, food, dancing, and drinks - which hopefully none of us will ever forget.
With love, A & J
