Ashley and Sean started seeing each other in February 2023. Sean originally reached out to Ashley on Instagram, bonding over their mutual love for Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the rest is history!

Their first date took place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This wasn’t their original plan (Citrico’s at the Grand Floridian the next week), but they were so excited to meet that they last minute decided to go see Fantasmic that evening! When they arrived to Studios, they realized that there wasn’t really any time to ride any attractions, so they walked around the park, through Toy Story Land and Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, where they ended up in front of the Indiana Jones Stunt Show. It was a nice and quiet place since the show had its last run hours earlier- the perfect place to talk and start getting to know each other and maybe share a kiss or too.

Little did they know that 10 months later, this would be the same spot where Sean would ask Ashley for her to marry him!

Ashley was thinking that Sean was going to pop the question very soon, but she thought he had a completely different plan. On December 19th, they met up with their friends, Laura and Alex, for what Ashley thought was going to be a relaxing evening at Hollywood Studios. Funny enough, the lines were so busy that they didn’t really ride anything and ended up walking around chit chatting, pretty much the same thing that Ashley and Sean did on their first date! At one point, Ashley spotted Sean talking with photopass photographers and didn’t think anything of it because Sean would be one to strike up a random conversation with a cast member! (He loves giving cast compliments.) Turns out he was asking if there would be a photographer in front of the Christmas tree, which just so happens to be the place where Sean and Ashley shared their first kiss!

Laura and Alex took a turn with the photographer first while Sean distracted Ashley with slow dancing and watching the light show on The Tower of Terror from afar. Alex let the photographer know what was about to go down that way she could be ready and it was go time! Ashley and Sean stepped up to get a photo taken, and honestly, Ashley didn’t think anything was happening. Until she noticed Laura with her camera out! She thought, “Why would Laura be taking a picture of us if we’re getting our photo taken by photopass?” And then it hit her, it was happening. The moment she had been waiting for, her dream that she had been wishing for her whole life, the man she loved was going to get down on one knee and ask her to marry him. Sean turned to Ashley and said, “This was the place of our first kiss, and I thought it would be a good place to do this.” And he pulled out the ring box! Right away Ashley started crying tears of joy and when Sean asked that wonderful question, “Will you marry me?”, Ashley shook her head and said yes!

We are so excited to start our “Happily Ever After” together! We knew almost instantly that this was something wonderful and we have been waiting for this day ever since! We hope you can join us for our special day!
