On a snowy, MLK weekend Sunday Funday, Ashley and Matt crossed paths in the most unlikely of places - Green Rock (if you know, you know). Despite being at the same table with their large group, the two did not speak until the walk through Hoboken to the best bar in town - Mike's Wild Moose Saloon, where their love story really began. While at the Moose, the two had bonded over their jobs in the same industry, they were "networking" Ashley would later say.

Matt got Ashley's number and asked her out for margaritas a few days later. Fast forward a few weeks, Ashley invited Matt on a 2 hour drive to Philly to watch her Tar Heels in the Sweet 16. That's when they knew it was meant to be - and the rest is history!

Ashley and Matt quickly realized that their lives merged together seamlessly. They spent nights cooking at each other's apartments, going on walks at the Waterfront, and exhausting all options to get free sporting event tickets. They got along great with each other's friends, spent their first summer weekends at Aunt Alice's house on Manasquan Beach, and Matt really secured the stamp of approval after driving 8 hours with the Kavanaghs in the minivan to Dennis and Lydia's wedding in Ohio.

From there, the couple grew together through promotions, Valentine's Days at Augustino's, moving into their apartment, and attending countless weddings with each other. They are each other's best friends and make each other laugh more than anyone else. They also will always celebrate all milestones with margaritas at East LA.

On May 16th, Ashley and Matt were working from home, preparing for a delicious meal at Spano's to celebrate TJ's birthday. While Ashley was looking at the menu online asking Matt what they should get for dinner, everyone else in the house was hiding from her and Matt was internally panicking about the weather. Julie and TJ played their parts perfectly, getting Ashley very excited to go to dinner. Much to Ashley's surprise, they were NOT going to Spano's. Matt proposed on May 16th at their favorite spot - the beach house followed by a party at the Boatyard with their favorite people.

The fun didn't stop there - on June 8, 2025, Matt and Ashley traveled to Binghamton, NY to pick up their first born, Rosie! Being such big Bruce fans, there was no better name for her than Rosalita.
