Our Wedding

It all began at the gym in Vermillion, South Dakota. Tony and I had seen each other around a few times but never spoke—until one evening in April. After wrapping up a workout, I headed across the gym to grab my bag. As fate would have it, Tony was also finishing up and, noticing I’d have to walk past him, took a chance and stalled just long enough to say “Hi.” He asked if I was training for something specific, and I told him about an upcoming powerlifting meet—how I had injured my back a couple of months earlier and was just getting back into more intense training. He asked for my name, and when I asked for his in return, he says that’s when he knew I was interested. From that small moment, something big began.We’ve now been together for over three years. Our first date was seeing the new Doctor Strange movie in Sioux Falls, and from there, we’ve shared so many adventures—traveling to Washington for Tony’s work, elk hunting in Colorado for 8 days in September 2022, and taking a 24-hour road trip to Florida with his pup, Orion, to visit his parents, brother Nick, sister-in-law Sarah, and their two sweet kids, Aela and Noah, over Christmas.We are actively involved in youth ministry at our church, and our relationship is rooted in a shared heart for serving others and wholeheartedly loving God. Now, we can’t wait to start this next chapter—marriage—and continue writing our story together.
