Chris and Ashley met at Pitt Johnstown during a concrete canoe meeting as freshman. Ashley was intimidated by Chris in the early days of knowing each other. He seemed so comfortable in the canoe lab jumping right to work, and she thought he was an upperclassman because of it. Turns out he is not even 48 hours older than she is.

It was during their sophomore year, when they really became friends. They would spend hours in the canoe lab with all their friends every day, working on the canoe, playing games, doing homework, or just sitting around talking. There were many 3 AM nights spent together in the canoe lab leading up to the regional competition. The pair became inseparable during this time. Especially when Chris needed to pass differential equations and Ashley always knew what to do. (Shhhh don't tell him I told you)

That summer they went to get ice cream at Ma's Ice cream shop every week. Many thought they were already dating, but the couple both kept telling everyone they were just friends. Meanwhile both sets of parents, kept telling us to date as well.

During Junior year, Chris called Ashley to the canoe lab "to get work done", but really he had planned to tell her he liked her and wanted to be more than friends.

During Senior Year, the couple was voted Homecoming King and Queen.

After Graduation, Chris got a job working with MS Consultants. And Ashley went back to school to get her Master's. The couple got engaged on December 22nd, 2022. And the Rest is History!!

Ashley and Chris love to adventure and be outdoors. Whether that be hiking, camping, skiing, swimming, kayaking, or even just relaxing on the beach. Any time spent with family and friends is even better.
