My Love Language is...A good balance of them all🥰 And that's where it all started - a prompt on Hinge. Ashley had her filters set for a religious man, and little did she know that Shane was out there praying for his future wife when one day at church he heard a voice to download Hinge. Ashley was the first person that came up when he created his account and he liked the prompt on her profile about her love language. Of course she needed a good balance of words of affirmation, quality time, acts of service, physical touch, and gifts! Shane was ready to fulfill that. The conversations started out very dry and short, until they started talking about how much they both LOVED Texas Roadhouse. Ashley went to visit her family back in her home state, Maine, and the conversations with Shane got a little deeper. She couldn't wait to go back to Florida to go on a date with him. Until she got back, they FaceTimed a few times to get to know each other more. There was one FaceTime call that lasted 4 hours, and then another 2 hours texting after that. They asked each other ice breaker questions and questions that were more deep, and they had the same answers for almost every question. Was this fate? On Tuesday April 11th, 2023, Shane picked Ashley up to go on their first date. Although it wasn't the Texas Roadhouse they had been talking about, it was similar - Cody's Roadhouse. When Shane arrived to pick Ashley up, Shane got out of the car and opened her car door and gave her a big hug. At that moment when they hugged, Ashley knew Shane was the one. On Saturday April 15th, they hung out again - this time to watch a movie: Monster's Inc. After the movie ended, Shane asked Ashley to be his girlfriend and she said yes. The next morning Ashley asked Shane to take her to church (a place she hadn't been to regularly in years). As time went on, church was now a regular thing for the two of them. They hung out more over those next few weeks and another fun memory was having a picnic (Pub Subs) and watching the sunset on the beach together at Sunset Beach.&nbsp;This is where Shane saw how terrified of birds Ashley was - and he still stayed around. Shane and Ashley also love going to Disney in their free time, a place Shane had never been to before meeting Ashley! They are two kids at heart which explain their love for the theme parks. They also love cooking or baking. Their favorite thing to cook together is Chicken Alfredo Stuffed Shells! It was the first dish they cooked together and it came out very tasty. Ashley is very excited to be marrying into an Italian family and getting lots of homemade pasta and chicken parmigiana for the rest of her life!🍝 Fast forward to February 24, 2024 - a church friend asked Shane and Ashley to practice photography at Sunset Beach. About 45 minutes into the photoshoot, Shane got down on one knee and asked Ashley to marry him. She said yes!!!! Ashley and Shane thank God for bringing the two of them together. His timing is truly perfect. The two of them will celebrate their Happily Ever After on March 8th, 2025 and hope you can join as they say I do at one of their favorite places!
