Our Wedding

How We Met

Ashley and Steven met in 2018 at ‘Lollapalooza’ a music festival in Chicago where they first crossed paths through mutual friends. However, their relationship didn’t develop for a year or so later.    Ashley, being Steven’s friends from high school’s roommate, and Steven being this boy from Western that would randomly show up at her house at MSU. They never anticipated their friendship blossoming into something deeper. As Ashley got to know Steven and his sense of humor, Ashley told her friends, there was just something about Steven and she had to find out what it was. A decision she is grateful for to this day.  From having their first kiss in a photobooth at MSU’s “RAMA” at The Riv (shoutout Hannah & Alyssa) to now living together with their beloved cat “Evie”. Ashley and Steven’s relationship quickly developed from friends to soulmates. Their relationship grew through out the years and they shared their love for their families, friends, and doing simple things together like cooking, traveling, going on walks, and enjoying McDonalds probably a little too much.  Their story took an unexpected turn during a spontaneous trip to Gulf Shores, AL, where Steven's grandparents reside, ending in a surprise engagement that caught Ashley completely off guard. What she thought was a relaxing getaway turned out to be a pivotal moment in their love story, marking the beginning of their next chapter together.  Navigating these new chapters together have been so special and exciting and the best is yet to come.
