Ashley's Version:If you ask Zack, he will tell you we met at Sophia's House of Pancakes in 2009. The first time I met Zack in MY mind was at a wedding in September 2014. I was having the time of my life dancing and spending time with my friends. No matter what circle I was in on the dance floor, I always ended up next to Zack. After Taylor Swift came on and I accidentally punched him in the face trying to dance to "Shake It Off" and he was still having fun hanging out with me, I knew he was special. We ended up spending the whole night together, and at the end of the night Zack asked me for my number with A LOT of nervous hand motions. I gave him my number and asked him to "Call me, maybe?", and the rest was history! :)In all sincerity, I was living 3.5 hours away from Zack at the time and I had my doubts about a long distance relationship with a guy I spent MAYBE five hours with. However, the day after the wedding, Zack reached out to met and we started talking and have talked every day since September 6, 2014. I was amazed by his commitment to getting to know me and making me feel special from 175 miles away. Every day since has been wonderful in its own way and I am so thankful for him and the life we are building together!

Zack met Doug through his wife, Sam. Doug is great for Zack because he likes to play all the sports and do all the activities. Doug is always making Zack laugh and is a joy to be around. Doug is reliable and we can always count on him when we are in a tough situation. 

Doug Labadie

If you have had the pleasure of spending even five minutes with Kristina, you will understand why she is my Maid of Honor. Kristina and I met through Campus Life in high school but started talking more in college. During our friendship, we have never really lived in the same place, but Kristina has always been understanding of the different journeys life has taken me on. Kristina challenges me in my faith while also supporting my need for life to be full of fun and people. When I started dating Zack, I couldn't wait for Kristina to meet him and wanted the two of them to be the best of friends. Hence, she is the perfect MOH and best friend a bride could ask for!

Kristina Waller 

Kelsey and I met in high school and spent our time together on Campus Life trips, eating snacks in my basement, and doing math (I was her math tutor, obviously). If you need a good hug, a new show to watch, or a funcraft, Kelsey is your girl. Kelsey is always there for me and is always doing little things that make me feel so appreciated and loved.

Aaron is Zack's childhood friend. They've known each other since kindergarten. Aaron is incredibly smart and knows a lot about algae and engineering. You can always count on Aaron for a good veggie tray.

Nick is also one of Zack's childhood friends. Zack describes Nick as funny and a marine. He can shotgun a beer faster than anyone he has ever met in his entire life. Zack considers this to be one of Nick's greatest qualities.

Kelsey and I met in sixth grade Social Studies while racing to name all the South American countries. Through middle school and high school, Kelsey was always making me laugh and challenging me to strive for excellence just by being herself. Her laugh is contagious and her passion for life is admirable. Being her friend on social media is amazing because she is in the business of saving all the animals, so picture a newsfeed filled with cute things like puppy parades and kitten cuddles. Kelsey and Zack are college friends, so if it wasn't for her, I probably wouldn't have met the love of my life (THANK YOU, by the way)!

Kelsey Maccombs 

I lived in Huntington one summer and took a class in Fort Wayne. Beth was, unknowingly to me, doing the same thing, and when I saw her on the first day of class I ran up to her (as an acquaintance) and gave her a huge hug. Little did I know, that hug was leading to a beautiful friendship. I survived nursing school thanks to her and many of my memories living in Indiana after graduation are brighter because of the time we spent together. She is an amazing nurse and wonderful mom to Matthew and I am so thankful for her presence in my life! 

Beth Stavedahl 

Ron is the nicest person Zack has ever met in his entire life. Ron likes to be reckless with Zack and Doug by going trampoline  jumping all over the state of Michigan. Ron also shares Zack's love for craft beer and always knows the best beers to drink.

Ron Howard

Kristie was the Campus Ministries Coordinator to my Resident Assistant my senior year of college, and I am positive two people have never had more fun laughing and working together. She is the Fawn to my Dawn and transitioned from someone I could laugh and joke with to someone I could open up my heart to. Our friendship has transitioned from our love for McDonald's (HOME) to essential oils (a little healthier) and I can't wait to see what's next!

Kristie (Fawn) Cooley 

Dan and I (Ashley) went to middle school together, but my first memory with Dan was at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp where we ran into each other at the camp dance. Dan told me that I was wearing too much makeup and we were instantly best friends. Dan is my oldest friend and consequently I have more memories with him than anyone else in my life. From jumping off a ski lift to save me to talking on the phone for hours a day during college while playing Farkle, Dan has always been my positive energy and shoulder to cry on. No matter how long it has been since we last talked, I know we can always pick right back up where we left off. I love to hear Dan laugh and hear about his latest hobby, like collecting all the spices from Meijer. He can make anything sound fun, like letting you pick ANYTHING you want off the dollar menu at McDonalds.

Joe is Zack's future brother-in-law. Joe lives on the east coast, and it's always good to see him during the holidays to catch up and talk sports. He's also a great uncle to Shep.

I had the pleasure of being Blair's RA my junior and senior year of college. This role allowed me to meet all sorts of different freshmen, and this one turned out to be my best friend. I could immediately tell that Blair was going to do big things for Christ with her life. She is passionate, fun, quirky, and genuine. Blair is a natural born leader and inspires me to strive to live life to the fullest. She is changing the world of news in Toledo and I couldn't be any prouder!

Brian and Zack met at the Meri Lou Rec Center. Brian and Zack have been to countless country concerts together. Brian is always down for a good time.

Brian Trojan 

When I think of my time at Huntington, some of my best memories are with Anne. I met Anne when I was one of her Campus Life leaders at Huntington. She was a high school freshman while I was a college freshman. Although my role was to mentor Anne, she ended up being a huge support for me throughout my 6.5 years in Indiana. She was and is consistent in our friendship and just a lovely, joyful person. I am so proud of who she is growing up to be and love watching her transform into the amazing teacher she was bound to be!

Anne Hacker

When I moved to Michigan, I longed for a close girl friend to watch The Bachelor with and have cookie baking days with. Sam is Zack's childhood friend and wife to his best friend, Doug. Thankfully, I can now call Sam one of my best friends. Zack and I would not be the couple we are today if it wasn't for Sam and Doug. On a free evening, there's few things we would rather be doing than hanging out with the Labadies playing games, watching our pups play, or taking a trip to Clark's. Sam has been so genuinely excited for our wedding and has supplied me with so many resources. I now cannot picture what we would do if we moved away from Berkley and didn't see the Labadies on a weekly basis!

Rusty married Zack's college best friend, Megan. If you are looking for a good one liner, Rusty is your guy. Rusty is one of the most genuine and caring people Zack's ever met. He's also the second biggest Cavs fan in the world. LEBRON JAMES!!!!!

The Comfort Inn has agreed to hold a block of rooms for us at a generous price for the night of June 17th. Our wedding weekend is the same weekend as another large event in the Ann Arbor area, so hotels are already booking up quickly. Please book your room no later than Friday, May 19th.
