What is the dress code? What should I wear?
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Acceptable attire for the men, includes: suits, dress shirt and tie, sports coat. For the women: and nice and tasteful dresses for the women, i.e. appropriate lengths (midi, tea-length, or floor) and cuts. No jeans!
What weather should I expect?
For our out of town guests who are not familiar with the weather in Colorado, please be aware that "Springtime in the Rockies" can be quite unpredictable. While we hope for a beautiful and warm sunny spring day, there is a very real possibility that Colorado may decide to throw us a curve ball by either raining or even snowing. Thus when packing, please remember an umbrella, closed toe shoes as well as open toed shoes and a light jacket or sweater just in case. While daytime temps in late April can be in the 60s-70s, evening temps can still get down into the 40s-50s. Also remember to pack sunscreen, Lakewood, Colorado sits at an elevation of 5518 feet above sea level and the sun is that much more damaging at the higher elevation.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
If Mother Nature blesses us with a beautiful spring day, the ceremony will be outside while the reception will take place primarily inside.
