Ashley grew up in sunny Fullerton, California, and Blake is from Memphis, Tennessee. Blake made the move to Austin back in 2015, and Ashley followed a few years later, planting roots here in 2017. Little did we know, this city would become the backdrop to the start of our forever. On November 9, 2022, we matched on Hinge and decided to meet up for tacos at a spot called Vamonos (which sadly has since closed — but will always be special to us!). Right away, we realized how comfortable and natural it felt to talk to each other. We covered everything from politics and religion to whether we wanted kids, and even lighter topics like the possibility of aliens existing. It all felt effortless, like we’d known each other much longer than just one evening. Neither of us wanted the night to end, so after dinner we went to Knomad, a local Austin dive bar, for drinks. That “one more stop” turned into hours of laughter and the kind of connection that made it clear we were onto something real. Fast forward: we moved in together in January 2024, building a home filled with love, laughter, and plenty of chaos thanks to our three dogs — Daisy, Pancake, and Maple. On April 5, 2025, Blake got down on one knee and asked Ashley to marry him — and the next chapter officially began. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate our journey with all of you and start our forever together on April 10, 2026.

Kari and Ashley met in California in 2016 through a mutual friend and quickly became inseparable. Just a year later in 2017, they took a leap of faith together, moving halfway across the country to Austin, Texas, with nothing but a room to rent and each other. Little did they know, that brave decision led Kari to meet her husband Brandon and, a few years later, led Ashley to Blake. Bound by a true sisterly love, their friendship continues to be one of life’s greatest constants.

Blake and Michael grew up together in Memphis and have been best friends for over 30 years. When Blake moved to Austin, Michael followed shortly after, and the two have stayed inseparable ever since. From childhood adventures to everyday life in Austin, their friendship has only grown stronger — and they still hang out all the time to this day.

Michael Gettings

Karin and Ashley grew up just hours apart in California, but didn’t meet until years later when they became neighbors in Austin in 2022. Kari knew they’d click and made the introduction—and she was right. They hit it off instantly, and Karin quickly became one of Ashley’s closest friends: fiercely loyal, protective, and always showing up without question. After countless laughs, adventures, and a little shared chaos, Ashley is grateful their California roots finally brought them together in Texas.

Blake and Alex go all the way back to Houston High School in Memphis and have stayed close ever since. Even though Alex is still in Memphis and Blake is in Austin, they’ve kept their friendship strong over the years — mostly by bonding over video games and anything tech-related. Distance hasn’t changed a thing, and their connection is just as solid as it was back in the day.

Kelly is the sister of the groom and one of Blake’s best friends. She has always made Ashley feel so welcome and has been one of Blake and Ashley’s biggest supporters. Kelly is the kind of person who is always there for her people, happy to lend a hand—whether it’s helping Ashley move into Blake’s place or guiding them through all the wedding decisions when indecisiveness takes over(which is often for Blake & Ashley). Ashley feels so lucky to have such an amazing future sister-in-law and is thrilled to have Kelly by her side on the big day.

Kelly Loy

Blake first met Aaron through work — hiring him on the Support team at AffiniPay. In May 2023, Aaron officially became family when he married Blake’s sister, Kelly. Now both a brother-in-law and a friend, Aaron has been an incredible addition to Blake’s life, and he’s grateful to have such a genuinely good guy in the family.

Carolin and Ashley met in 2022 through a mutual friend and quickly grew close when Carolin unexpectedly moved in just two doors down from Ashley’s best friend Kari, the maid of honor. She is incredibly dependable, reliable, and always inspires those around her to be their best selves. As one of the driving forces behind their monthly girls’ dinners, Carolin makes sure everyone stays connected and never misses a moment together. Ashley is thrilled to have Carolin celebrating this day alongside her.

Carolin Maier

Blake and John met in college at Mississippi State when they pledged Alpha Tau Omega together, and they’ve been close ever since. Even though John still lives in Mississippi, the two stay connected through video games, trips back to Starkville for football and baseball games, and visits to Austin. Most recently, they added New Orleans to their list of adventures — proof that no matter where life takes them, the friendship keeps going strong.

Hannah and Ashley met through a mutual friend in 2022, and their friendship has grown into something truly special. Hannah brings joy wherever she goes—her positivity and kind spirit lift everyone around her, and she lights up any room she walks into. From their monthly girls’ dinners to all the little moments in between, Ashley treasures the time they spend together. She feels so lucky to have Hannah celebrating this milestone with her.

Hannah Chambers

Blake and Will met at Mississippi State through Alpha Tau Omega, where Will became Blake’s fraternity “little brother” — despite actually being older. Their friendship has stayed strong over the years through video games, visits to Memphis, and memorable adventures, including a trip to Maui in 2017 that still stands out as one of the best and most fun experiences Blake’s ever had.
