Carlos & Ashley meet while in their Junior year of high school while attending a picnic with mutual friends. Carlos came running up the hill with the most bubbly personality and laughter that was contagious. Ashley a complete opposite with a shy demeanor and smile that can last for days. Two weeks later Carlos surprised Ashley at her 18th birthday party and they hit it off and became good friends from that day forward.

Over the next 2 years, Ashley and Carlos developed a close friendship through their remaining time in High school and always enjoyed their time together. After High School Ashley moved to New Hampshire for her first year of college to study biology and Carlos stayed in Greenwich to study engineering and work locally. They stayed connected and continued to be good friends over their first year of college. That following summer Ashley came back home, and decided to not move back to New Hampshire. She wanted to stay closer to home to be with her Family, and continue studying and working locally.

Over that Summer Carlos and Ashley’s were on a camping trip with friends, Carlos decided to tell Ashley how he felt about her, she didn't feel the same and wanted to stay friends, but little did they both know that night would change their future for the better. Over that remaining summer, Carlos would show up to Ashley job, always trying to get her to hangout with him, have lunch or do something together. Carlos would drive Ashley home almost ever night from work, where she lived 45 minutes away. Some thought he was crazy for doing it for a girl they thought he'd never date. Carlos persisted and that's when feeling began to changing. Ashley had realized she was falling for her best friend, a man who would do anything for her, and she would do the same for him. Carlos, her best friend and soon to be love of her life was always standing in front of her.

Carlos, finally got to courage to tell Ashley how he felt again, and asked her to be his girlfriend, they started dating in the fall of 2012. The beginning of their life long journey together,

Carlos and Ashley Got Engaged on May 19th, 2017. A long awaited moment that Ashley had been hoping for over the years. Carlos had promised her father he’d wait to ask for Ashley’s hand until she finished college, something very important to them both. Over the years when Ashley would get drunk she’d always ask carlos when he was going to marry her, and he’d always tell her “soon”. A few months prior to Ashley’s graduation carlos had asked Ashley’s father for his permission to marry her, in which he gave his blessing, but didn’t know when he would eventually propose. 2 Days prior till Ashley’s graduation, she had job interviews and internships set up between Milford and Hartford, Connecticut. Carlos of course bringing her to them all, and appeasing her as she dragged him around the malls between the areas to find a graduation outfit. Little did Ashley know Carlos was on a time crunch to get back to Hartford to Pick up her engagement ring. Finally being back in the area, he was able to sneak away and grab the ring while going out to do laundry. That night they Sat up together drinking wine, and watching the princess diaries, and of course Ashley asked once again when Carlos would marry her, and he’d say “soon”. Not knowing that, that moment would be so soon. The next morning, Carlos woke Ashley up at around 6am, asking her if she wanted coffee, and she shrugged him away and said no she wanted to keep sleeping. Carlos every morning brings Ashley coffee in bed, a moment they both have always shared together over the years. 8am came around and Carlos woke Ashley up and told her he was going to grab some coffee, her half asleep not wanting to get up said ok, and proceeded to go back to bed. Carlos Came Up the Stairs with coffee in hand, and a dozen red roses. He kneeled down next to her, and told her how much he loved her, and how he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He pulled out a small rose gold box, with a little Mrs ring holder and Asked her to marry him.
