Who would have thought a county fair would be responsible for all of this?

Jared was busy running sound and lighting for The Road Hammers and Montgomery Gentry, focused on cables, equipment, and making sure the show ran smoothly. Meanwhile, Ashley was simply there to enjoy the concert with her parents, Ron and Pat — not knowing she was about to meet her future husband.

During The Road Hammers set, Jared happened to stand right in front of Ashley and her parents. From this particular angle, Ashley decided he looked pretty darn cute from the backside. Naturally, she nudged her dad for a second opinion. He responded with an eye roll and a chuckle — clearly impressed with her priorities.

After the show, Ashley bravely walked back up to compliment Jared on the sound and lighting. Jared isn’t usually one to stop working or chat with strangers during teardown, but something about Ashley made him pause. His work crew quickly noticed what was happening and stood back laughing — because Jared never stops working unless someone has truly caught his attention.

Before they parted ways, Jared casually asked Ashley what she was doing after the fair. She mentioned meeting friends at a local bar, not thinking much of it. But Jared? He wrapped up his responsibilities, dropped off his crew, and showed up anyway.

And just like that, a chance meeting at a county fair turned into a love story neither of them saw coming.
