Nick and Ashley met at church in the spring of 2017. They easily bonded over their mutual interests in music (playing on the worship team together), self-care (who would say no to a pedicure?), and quality time with a great friend group (we love and miss you guys!).

Over the years, the friendship grew, and Nick and Ashley came to realize the relationship could grow into something more. Being together was comfortable and easy - they had the same beliefs and easily agreed on goals they wanted to reach in life. It took some time, but finally, at the end of 2020, Nick let Ashley know that he was ready to pursue something more.

The dating period included frequent talks about marriage. They went through a pre-marital class to grow even more in their relationship and address topics they otherwise wouldn't have considered without that class.

At the end of April 2023, Ashley went out of town for a friend's bachelorette party. Meanwhile, Nick went over to her parent's house and asked for her father's blessing. A few days later, Nick received the ring in the mail, and on May 5th, in the comfort of his apartment, he got down on one knee, said "I'm dead serious", and presented a ring.
