Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
The short answer is both. The guest welcome, ceremony, and cocktail hour are all outside. The reception is inside and the guests can choose to stay inside or go outside to partake in the bonfire and s'mores.
What should I wear?
The attire is formal and it is strongly encouraged to wear fall colors (ie- jewel tones, reds, oranges, gold, brown, etc.). These colors are not required but it would fit the theme and look great in pictures. Please refrain from wearing white or other bridal colors. For the ladies, we request that you wear floor length gowns. For the gentlemen, we request that you come wearing a suit or tux and tie/bow tie. Warm clothing is also strongly encouraged.
What kind of shoes should/shouldn't I wear?
For the ladies, there are some grassy areas that you might have to walk through so wearing chunky heels is recommended over traditional high heels.
What will the weather be like?
Fall in the Catskill mountains is a beautiful time of year but the weather can be variable. Days can be filled with sun and warmth while nights can be much cooler.
Can I bring a date?
Please check your invite to see if you have a +1. Invitations will have invitees names specifically listed on the invitation to avoid any confusion.
Are kids welcome?
Please enjoy date night on us for this adults-only wedding, as only select children will be accommodated on an invitation-only basis. Please refer to your personal invitation for further clarification.
Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?
We would appreciate if you would please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. It is an unplugged ceremony
However, we would love for you to take photos at any other time and share them with us as we will create a custom hashtag for Instagram and an email to send them to.
Where should I park?
As you approach the top of the hill, follow the "weddings" and "seven ponds farm" signs, and you'll see cows to your right in the distance on the open pasture. Keep going, pass the "dead end" sign, look for a red building with Seven Ponds logo ahead of you, make a right following "All Parking" signs and park your car at the parking lot. Walk back down to the giant gate "Entrance to Weddings" and enter the farm.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by September 14th, so we can have an accurate headcount.
What if I have an allergy to certain foods?
If you have any food related allergies please make sure that this is explicitly mentioned to the bride or groom as soon as possible to ensure your meal does not contain these items. There is a line on your RSVP cards specifically for this, please be sure to fill that out before sending. We want to make sure our guests enjoy their meals without any worries.
When should guests arrive?
For those invited to the rehearsal dinner but not in the wedding party, please arrive by 5:30 PM on Friday, October 25th at the Virginia Queen Inn. For the individuals who are in the bridal party we request you arrive around 1:30 on the 25th at the Seven Ponds venue for the actual rehearsal.
On the day of the wedding, please promptly arrive by 3:30PM on Saturday at the Seven Ponds Venue.
Where can guests stay?
Due to the nature of the venue being remote, we advise our guests plan to book overnight accommodations at nearby hotels, Airbnbs, or other lodging locations. For those in the bridal party, we encourage you to stay with us at the farmhouse. We request that immediate family members stay at the Virginia Queen Inn, as this will also be the location of the rehearsal dinner. Family and bridal party will be provided with room assignments ahead of time. Please inquire if you are interested in staying at these locations and in the event that there are any vacancies remaining. We strongly recommend that all guests book lodging as early as possible as fall is a busy season in the Catskills and lodging fills up quickly. Is there cell service?
Seven Ponds Farm and Estate has been making upgrades and assured us that there will be cell service at the farm. That said, you'll likely still have issues with service while driving through the Catskills. We strongly recommend downloading area maps ahead of time along with a Spotify playlist or two!
Will there be animals on the farm?
YES! They have cows, chickens, and goats!

Do I have to go?
No, it's optional, as are most things in life. But we invited you for a reason. You should come. It's gonna be fun.
Do I need to reserve for the afterparty?
Yes, this is a must. If you want to partake in the afterparty where the revelries continue and there are bonfires and s'mores, guests MUST RSVP. Guests will need to RSVP for the main event and the afterparty on the physical RSVP card included in the mailed wedding invitation. Please be sure to indicate this on the card.
Will ground shuttle transportation be provided?
Unfortunately, we will not be providing this service. That said, we request that all guest take this into account and drink responsibly. A quick reminder that these are country roads with minimal to no street lighting and there may be wildlife. We want you all to have a great time but also to be safe.
How is cell phone service?
Do to the nature of the venue being remote, there is a chance that you may lose cell phone service as you travel to the venue. That said, please DO NOT turn off your GPS to avoid getting lost.
What are the meal options for the reception dinner?
All the food served will be gourmet and specially grown/raised at the Seven Ponds farm or locally sourced to ensure the ingredients are fresh and of the highest quality.
The Venue offers two main entree choices for guests to choose from and are to be indicated on your RSVP card: fish or vegetarian.
The fish option will be salmon and the vegetarian option will be mushroom risotto.
We also ask that you include any food allergies on your RSVP cards to ensure you are safe to enjoy your meal.
You will also have plenty of hors d'oeuvre options to choose from during the cocktail hour. For those staying for the afterparty, we will have s'mores for roasting over the bonfire as well!
What time is the rehearsal on Friday?
The rehearsal will begin promptly at the Seven Ponds Farm Estate on Friday Oct, 25th at 1:30 PM. We request that you attend in comfortable clothes, since you will have time to change into your semiformal attire before the rehearsal dinner starting at 5:30 PM.
Do I need to send back my RSVP to you guys?
We absolutely need you to return your RSVPs for the wedding and afterparty to us, regardless if you will be attending or need to decline. OTHERWISE WE WILL HOUND YOU UNTIL YOU DO LOL.
In all seriousness though, if we do not receive your physical RSVP by the time that the venue requires a full/final head count, we will be forced to tell the venue that you have declined to attend.
What should I wear to the rehearsal dinner?
Attire for the rehearsal dinner is semiformal. Semi-formal falls in between cocktail attire and black tie optional. You can mix and match suit separates, sports jackets, work a sweater into the outfit (a great option for the fall), or leave your tie at home. For those wearing dresses, something in a midi-length is perfect, though you're also welcome to experiment with dressy jumpsuits, classy rompers, cocktail dresses, and separates.
