The universe has been pulling Ashley and Connor together since 2015. The two have very similar backgrounds without knowing each other. They both grew up in Metro Detroit and studied the same major at Central Michigan University; however, the two did not meet until they were both working for Kimberly-Clark. They were both working as interns when they met at a party. It was the last night of Ashley’s internship and the first of Connor’s. They only met briefly, but did capture the moment with a selfie to send to a mutual friend before parting ways.

Ashley and Connor’s paths continued to cross throughout the years, both back at Central and working at Kimberly-Clark. The stars would truly align as the two each moved back to Michigan

independently and reconnected at their mutual best friend’s birthday party (Groomsman Nate Austin!). The minute Ashley and Connor reconnected, they became inseparable and knew this was it for them.

Since then, the two have explored many cities together, lived in Detroit, survived a pandemic, bought a house, drank lots of wine, golfed too much, and biked many miles. On 11/4, Connor brought Ashley back to the Detroit River where they had their first apartment together and asked her to marry him. They can’t wait to spend many more years doing all things they love!
