Ashley and Doug’s story begins in 2020, during covid when restaurants opened temporarily. They met on Hinge and decided to go on a date at Cultivar in the Marina. What Ashley knows now is that Doug is always early, which she is too but her friends told her to be 10 minutes late. Doug is waiting at the restaurant and thinks he got stood up… Ashley messaged him on Hinge but her message didn’t send. Ashley finally arrives around 10 minutes late, but Doug has been standing outside for over 15 minutes. Despite that hiccup they had a great first date and he walked her back to her apartment. Ashley lived in the Marina and Doug lived in North Beach and they frequented restaurants in both areas, after two years Doug made the move and became a “Marina guy”. Ashley and Doug LOVE living on Chestnut Street in the Marina, and have found some of their favorite restaurants and bars. They love San Francisco and can’t wait for everyone to join them for their special day!!


Over the years Ashley and Doug have taken trips near and far - Stinson Beach, Truckee, Glenbrook, San Diego, Charleston, Bend, Cancun, Sun Valley, Aspen, Tahiti, Carmel, Denver, Scottsdale, NYC, and their most favorite Italy! They love to travel and can’t wait to go to so many more places!


Both Ashley and Doug are from the East Bay and love spending holidays with their families. They have both grown to love each others families and are so lucky to have almost everyone live nearby. There have been several family trips (on both sides) - Glenbrook/Stinson Beach/Sun Valley with Doug’s family, Truckee/Denver/Hawaii with Ashley’s family. We’re so excited for future family trips!


If you haven’t noticed the several mentions of Stinson Beach yet, it has become one of our favorite places. It was the first weekend trip we took together, and has become a frequent weekend getaway. We love going with family, friends, and sometimes just the two of us. If you didn’t guess… it’s where we got engaged! Doug planned the perfect proposal on the beach at sunset! Did Ashley know it would happen then? Well, there were some signs… as we’re packing for the weekend Doug says “let’s bring nice outfits and cook dinner at the house”. Ashley went along with it, but she knows they are usually in athlesure all weekend and order pizza. But in the end she didn’t know it would happen until Doug got down on one knee. Stinson Beach was always a special place for us, but now it is even more special and we love going back and talking about where Doug proposed.
