Bridal Party

Jessie Sanderson
Jessie Sanderson - Maid of Honour
Known since my wonderful birth (she's lucky that I was born) Not only is she my sister but she's also my best friend. Having her by my side means the world to me. I can't wait till she tears up that dance floor. Favourite Memory: Being the best sister she is, she actually surprised me with concert tickets to Shania Twain! I have never been so happy to go to a concert and it was one of the best nights of my life! She is truly the best and I can't wait till we get to go to more concerts and adventures.
Kelsie Palmer
Kelsie Palmer - Bridesmaid
Friends since: 2010 I'm lucky to have Kelsie by my side on my big day. Not only has she been there through the tough times but she has also been there for the many positives in my life. We have gone to become bestfriends and I'm lucky to be able to be in her 2 daughters lives. Favourite Memory: Had an eating competition at Olive Garden but we both tied so we had to go eat a small DQ. We have never been more full in our lives.
Hawazen Alnuweiri
Hawazen Alnuweiri - Bridesmaid
Friends since: 2005 Hawazen's family lived down the road from us and our families grew up together. Her parents were like a second pair of parent for Jess and I. She currently lives in NYC with her husband and daughter. Favourite Memory: During the summer was when we would always be together because both of our families were involved with summer swimming. I would wish those summers would just carry on and never end. Those were some of the best days and memories of my life.

Groomsman

Hi, I'm brent and I am Ryan's older brother of 7 years. The two of us spent a lot of time together growing up and I have many fond memories of our childhood (mostly at his expense). It always felt as if my little brother was always there. He would come out and support me at baseball games while working on his own skills, watching from the sidelines. Our career paths were much of the same. We both shared our first job working at Safeway where we had the opportunity to work together. Ryan eventually pursued a career as a firefighter where I have been honored working with him these past 10 years. It seems my little brother looked up to me throughout the life's passage when in fact it has been I, who looked up to him. Ryan has a positive demeanor, an ability to see things from all perspectives and a sensible pragmatic approach in life. These qualities make him a welcoming person and someone you can lean on when searching for solutions or needing sound advice. I love my brother and couldn't be more proud of the path he has chosen and the man he has become. I am ready to raise a glass in celebration of love, friendship, and companionship towards Ashley & Ryan's joyous journey ahead.

For over 25 years, Ryan has been a loyal and trustworthy friend of mine. Although we went to different elementary schools, Ryan was a part of our ragtag Rochester Elementary gang. When school went out of session, we often paired up amongst each other to watch DragonBall, play Power Rangers, build legos, and kick soccer balls to catch with garbage can lids. You know, what '80s kids do. When I moved north at the age of 12, nearly 1600kms away, the most challenging aspect was feeling like I was being pulled apart from my friends. But every summer break, I would come back to Vancouver for a month, and it was as if I never left. 30 days of sleepovers and general tomfoolery with Ryan and the gang was enough to fill my cup, and I looked forward to it for the year. Ryan's been a steadfast and loyal "brother by choice". I feel honored to be standing by his side with the rest of our childhood friend group during the most important day of his life.

I have known Ryan since we were kids through my brother Steven as he was friends with Ryan, Brenden, Justin and Nelson. Eventually I became part of the guys as the years went on. We became further friends when we both got jobs working at the local Safeway. I was hired working in the meat department and Ryan worked in produce. Around a year after I was hired, a cashier named Ashley was hired. I remember when we worked there Ashley on a few occasions asked me about Ryan, and after trying my vert best not to embarrass Ryan I said only good things. It was obvious from the moment they met these two were supposed to be together and I am excited to be a part of their special day!

It feels like I have known Ryan my whole life. While we did officially meet at Maillard Middle School, our mutual friends Brenden and Nelson had us familiar with each other from a very early age. From Maillard, we continued on to Centennial Secondary and Simon Fraser University together. We have been close ever since that first meeting and have experienced a lot together. I look forward to a future filled with even more experiences with Ryan and Ashley.

Ryan and I first met in elementary school where we began as competitors in games of tag, races, or any other form of athletics. Our friendship grew from middle school through university, marked by countless sleepovers, camping trips, and hikes together. Our friend group would hang out regularly - playing sports to gaming to mischief-making. As we grew older, our partners became just as involved in our friend group, and game nights and camping trips continued. I'm thrilled to be a groomsman and excited for the big day!

Ryan and I met by proximity because we lived directly across the street from each other. He is the very first friend I ever had, and we bonded over our common interests in video games, Lego, and having older siblings who liked to beat us up.
