If Netflix ever decides to greenlight a rom-com called Love in the Time of Bumble, we’d be ready for our close-ups. This love story began in 2021 when Ashley swiped right on Henry—a match made possible by Bumble, the app where women make the first move. As luck would have it, Ashley loves a good conversation, and Henry is not only a great listener but also a top-tier conversationalist. Clearly, Bumble’s algorithm deserves a standing ovation for this one. Their first date at a local cidery was a four-hour marathon of laughs, stories, and, frankly, subpar cider. Ashley enjoyed the comfort of cool shade while Henry roasted in the sun—that’s dedication, people. Their second date? A comedy of errors. Pandemic closures, a last-minute venue change, torrential rain, parking lot wars, and an awkward encounter all conspired to throw things off track. By the time Henry arrived, Ashley was overstimulated and stress-sweating (what's new). After a hurried hello, she abruptly declared, “I need to not talk right now.” Without hesitation, Henry took that note and simply rubbed her back, offering quiet support, and proved he could handle any curveball. Right then and there, Ashley knew—this man was different (in the BEST way). From that moment on, it was an adventure. Together, they explored restaurants, breweries, and bakeries like culinary explorers. They traveled to quaint New England towns, drank shots of au jus with friends in Denver, and fist-pumped their way to the good ol' Jersey Shore. They watched the Jets lose, the Mets lose, and...er...let's not talk about the Devils. They became proud dog parents to Bruce Brew, a tiny ball of chaos who tested their patience but ultimately completed their little family. Along the way, they learned that the key to their love story is simple: Ashley thinks ahead, Henry thinks on his feet, and Bruce? Well, Bruce thinks he’s in charge. Now, these two goofballs in love spend their days surrounded by family and friends, binge-watching new series, dancing in the kitchen, and doting on Bruce. And every night ends the same way: with pre-bed giggles over something ridiculous—because at the heart of it all, laughter is what life together is all about.
