Please be Advised

With a supposed start date of 2025, all U.S. citizens planning to visit Italy must obtain a special travel authorization to enter the country. While some news sources call it a visa, the European Commission has stated that it’s not a visa but an automated IT system. No matter what they call it, it’s essential to be aware of this change in travel policy to Europe and to check the ETAS website for updates and to check frequently to avoid troubles at the time of travel.

The application has just opened and applicants will fill out an online application and pay a small fee of € 7.

Should we rent a car?

Short answer: yes! Long answer: The wedding is the main event but not the whole event. We want our guests to have the freedom to explore or roam, if you will, as they choose outside of the scheduled events. But it is not necessary for every group or person to do so. We will help to arrange transportation when we can.

When should we arrive?

Check in at the Villa is scheduled for 10/25/2025 at 1600. Off site guests, please verify with your stay of choice and let us know what times you are planning.

Wedding Attire Suggestions

Deciding on what to wear to a wedding can be stressful but don’t worry we have you covered. For the big day, here is some ideas that I think fit the vibe of the day and venue. The colors we are requesting are warm fall colors. It is in late October and fall will be in full swing! Beautiful as it is, as most of us are from Florida, be prepared for nights in the mid to low 50’s and days no higher than 70!

Walking distance rentals

Here is the recommend accommodations for additional guests within walking distance to the villa.

Food not just for thought

Feeding a large group can be intimidating to say the least! We are going to be making one or two BIG shopping trips to the local market to get things for our stay. During that time, I would encourage everyone to grab the essentials (bread, wine, cheese, eggs, wine…) and we will have it all family style! Anything else that you would want specifically such as snacks or food for dietary restrictions, please be sure to either 1) bring it along with you and mark it or 2) come to the market and get it on the second day.
