It was the afternoon of June 6, 2022, and Francis found himself at the Starbucks on the corner of Litchfield and Camelback, on the west side of the Valley. Ironically enough, as Francis walked into Starbucks, he was texting and not paying attention, he bumped into Ashley, the person standing directly in front of him in the line.

Ashley, wearing her navy blue scrubs, in typical Jersey fashion, snapped at Francis to "watch where you're going!" but with a smile on her face. Francis and Ashley then began chatting in line as they approached the cashier to place their respective orders.

When it was Ashley's turn to order her coffee, Francis jumped in, placed his order as well, and paid for Ashley's coffee. After making payment, Francis went by the exit door to wait for his coffee, and to go back to arguing with his ex through text. Shortly after, as Ashley walked towards the exit door, she tapped Francis and said "I hope the next time I see you, you pay attention to where you are walking."

Not thinking much of it, Francis shrugged it off. Immediately after, the barista called Francis' order. When he picked up his coffee, he noticed a phone number written on the side of his cup. Francis asked the barista what the phone number was, and the barista informed him that Ashley told the barista to write her number on Francis' coffee cup. Unbeknownst to Francis, Ashley thought Francis was cute (even though Francis was dressed like a bum--a lot of you know that since college, Francis wore the same uniform of basketball shorts, a hoodie, and socks with slides). Later that evening, Francis sent Ashley a text.

Despite giving him her number, Ashley was shy and reserved, and wanted to take things slow with Francis. Since Francis knew Ashley's obsession and love for all things K-POP, he suggested on watching a K-Drama on Netflix. They both agreed upon watching "It's Okay, to Not be Okay" together via Facetime for their "first date".

Not too long after, Francis picked up Ashley for their first in person date on June 17th. When Ashley opened the door and greeted Francis, Francis realized that Ashley was the woman he was going to marry.
