The Warm-Up:

She shoots! She scores. The journey of Ashley & Damascus began on July 25th, 2020, when Ashley fell into a certain young man’s DMs. Ashley pursued her Master of Athletic Administration from Mississippi College. Concurrently, Damascus began his journey of pharmacy school at the University of Louisiana Monroe. From this shot sparked the start of a loving journey.

The Come-Up:

Throughout their commitment, distance was never an issue. The two would visit each other in either Clinton or Monroe bi-weekly. In between visits, ample amounts of phone conversations, facetimes, and planning kept the two busy. Ashley and Damascus made it a priority to keep the Lord and communication as focuses of their relationship. They became unparalleled forces working together to make the best of what they have. Whether it be attending major life events or kicking back eating crab legs and pizza, the two were inseparable. On November 8th,2020 the couple officially began dating. From this point they began blending each other’s lives even further. Damascus became more acquainted with New Orleans culture and Ashley with The Jacob’s “country roots”.

The Blow-Up:

As time progressed and love thickened, each of them began to represent a staple in each other’s life. They made many new friends and connections along the way. It is through these connections that Damascus organized a way to demonstrate his true intentions. On May 6th, 2022, Damascus proposed to Ashley besides a small, personal audience of friends and family.
