Pete and Ashley went to the same church and were in the same friend groups for 4 years but didn't meet until God's perfect timing!

It all started a year and a half ago when Ashley's friend Tori mentioned Pete's name for the first time. She had the intention of trying to set them up for a while. However, Ashley wasn't interested in anything at that time. Tori kept bringing him up but the answer was a no until 6 months later.

Ashley saw Pete more and more in person and on social media and started to become more open-minded. She told Tori that she could put in a good word for her to Pete if she'd like. Tori took that information and talked to Pete the next day. After explaining all of it to Pete, he responded with "we will see how it goes".

Tori and Ashley were both extremely confused about what that meant but kept their hopes up for a possible interaction. Later that night, Pete slid into the instagram DM's and Ashley knew that something might come from this.

A week passed and Pete asked Ashley out on their first date! Their first date was 5 hours long sitting at a table at Architect Coffee in Springfield, MO. Their second date was 6 hours long at Jose Locos in Springfield, MO. Towards the end of the second date, Pete knew that 11 hours was enough time to know that he wanted to make it official. That night they started "officially dating".

Since then, it has been filled with memories, laughter, and supporting each other through hard times.

On August 15th, 2025, Pete proposed and they started their journey as an engaged couple!!!

This truly is a story of how God's timing is always perfect! He is so faithful and we are extremely grateful of how He orchestrated and will continue to orchestrate our love story!
