Where is the wedding?
The wedding will take place at The Lakeside Hotel & Leisure Centre, Ballina, Killaloe, Co.Clare V94 E2D6. Ireland.
When is the wedding?
The wedding will be on July 4th, 2026 at 2:30 PM. There will be a welcome party for all those attending the ceremony, on July 3rd, 2026.
Are Kids Allowed at the Wedding?
Due to the location of the venue, and limited amount of space, the ceremony and reception have been curated for an adult only evening. We understand many guests may be using this opportunity as a family vacation, so we also have a designated time of the night, after dinner, that the venue allows us to open up the doors to additional guests who were not at the ceremony. This may be an option for additional family members and children, outside the guest list, to join in on the festivities and live music! Please reach out to Mike or Ashley for more information, as we will need a count of those family members/kids planning to attend later. Thanks so much for your understanding!
What Travel FAQs do I Need to Know?
Make sure you have an Irish plug adapter, as your American plugs will not work in Ireland - hair tools can also have incorrect wattage, so be sure to order EU applicable hair tools before travelling. You can buy these off of Amazon before your trip. You will also want to look up a temporary solution through your phone plan to be able to use your cell abroad, but if you plan to just use WiFi, make sure your phone remains on airplane mode throughout the duration of your trip to avoid roaming charges! Lastly, Ireland is 6 hours ahead of CST and 5 hours ahead of EST, so be sure to account for this when planning your trip, accounting for at least a day to acclimate to the new time zone! I will be making a "Travel Checklist" as well on the website, so please look at this to make sure you have everything you need!
Can I stay at the venue?
YES! The venue for the wedding, is also a hotel/resort. You can book a room at the resort for the duration of your stay, for ease, by going to their website:

If I don't stay at the venue, what are my options?
A great additional option would be to book into our wedding block at the Kilmurry Lodge, using the code WEDDING26. We will have a shuttle taking guests to and from the wedding (more info to come). You can also look up air bnb/VRBO options in the area as well, just make sure you are searching options in Killaloe, County Clare, Ireland. Uber/Lyft is not as readily available in the area, so you will want to have a rental car, or be walking distance to the venue, for ease.
When should I book my plane tickets?
We suggest booking your plane tickets no later than December 2025/January 2026. We often travel direct with Aerlingus, but there will also be flights on other airlines that will offer connections through other cities.
What airport should I fly into?
We recommend two options: You can fly into Dublin International Airport (DUB) or Shannon International Airport (SNN). Often, Dublin will offer cheaper flight options, so keep this in mind when booking.
How do I get from the airport to Killaloe?
You can: Rent a car, Hire a car/taxi, take the bus, take the train (applicable from Dublin only)
Information for Car Rental?
Both airports should have all standard car rentals, but I recommend setting up in advance before arrival. Dublin Airport is about a 2 hr. drive from Killaloe, and Shannon Airport is about a 1 hr. drive. Note, you will be driving on the opposite side of the road, and the wheel will be on the opposite side. You will also need to note if you would like an automatic vehicle, as most vehicles in Ireland are stick!
Hiring a Car or Taxi from the Aiport?
From Dublin Airport: Because this is a farther trip, I would not attempt to find a taxi at the airport, I would set up a car for hire for your party in advance. You can do this through the company Hynans Travels, or any other airport transport company.
From Shannon Airport: A taxi from Shannon airport to Killaloe could range from $80-$150
Taking the Bus from the Aiport?
From Dublin Airport: You can purchase a bus ticket through Flight Link, that will take you from Dublin Airport “Dublin Airport Zone 12” to the “Limerick Arthurs Quay” stop, in Limerick. You will transfer here to the 345 140154-00019-1 towards Scarrif, and get off at the “St. Anne’s School” stop. This will leave you a 10 minute walk to Killaloe, or a quick uber/taxi ride.
From Shannon Airport: You will take the airport bus (aerlingus cargo) 343 138465-00019-1 towards Limerick Bus Station, in Limerick. You will transfer here to the 345 140154-00019-1 towards Scarrif, and get off at the “St. Anne’s School” stop. This will leave you a 10 minute walk to Killaloe, or a quick uber/taxi ride.
Taking the Train from Dublin Airport?
From Dublin Airport: You will need to take a taxi to the Dublin City Rail Station. There you will be able to buy a ticket from Dublin to Limerick Junction, and then transfer to the train continuing on to Limerick Colbert. You can buy tickets in advance at this site: https://www.irishrail.ie/en-ie/
