Our Wedding

In the digital age of dating, Ashley and Scott met in October of 2023 on Bumble, with their first date at Dave &amp; Buster's at the Waterfront in Homestead shortly after. They quickly realized they had a lot in common over dinner, drinks, and competitive fun. Fun fact: As Ashley and Scott were looking over the menu, there was no discussion of what they were going to order. When the waiter came to take their order, they ended up ordering the exact same thing, for both dinner AND their drinks! Subtle foreshadowing, this happens almost everywhere they go!

How we met...

Scott knew that after their first date, Ashley was the one for him. However, Ashley made him wait...she wanted to "take things slow" and feel it out. Deep down, though, she also knew Scott was the one. Throughout the dating phase, Ashley and Scott found several spots they still like to frequent: the movies, all-you-can-eat sushi at Asahi, Target, and a good bookstore! Ashley and Scott moved forward, making plans to start a life together. There was just one thing that needed to happen before Scott was certain...Aurora (Scott's fur baby) HAD TO approve, and that, she did! Some even say, Aurora prefers Ashley over Scott. Anyone who has a pet knows that you cannot simply have only one. As the next major step in their relationship, they adopted their cat, Percy, together. Not long after, Ashley moved in, and the rest is history!

Dating life...

Ashley and Scott have a lot in common, but they also have some differing interests as well. Ashley and Scott both have a love for music. Sharing artists they have in common, and introducing each other to new artists they may not have listened to if not together. Ashley loves baseball, and early in their relationship, Scott did not! After attending two baseball games together that were rained out, he swore he would never go again! Ashley, however, made sure that would not be the case, and sure enough, brought back Scott's love for the game! They have attended countless Pirates and Washington Wild Things games with plans to continue in the future. Scott has a love for Dungeons &amp; Dragons, Magic: The Gathering, and anime; three things Ashley never thought she would get herself into. Through time, Scott taught Ashley how to play Magic, helped her create a D&amp;D character that matches her to a tee, and showed her a few anime she fell in love with! Scott also expanded Ashley's knowledge of football! He knew she had a competitive nature and brought her into his Fantasy Football league, where she hopes not to disappoint, and to NOT come in last place.

Sharing our interests...

August 10, 2025 Ashley's best friend, Alexandra, was up for a visit from Miami, and her visit happened to coincide with IUP Day at PNC Park. Ashley had the idea to get a group of friends and family together for a fun day at a ball game, but little did she know, she was putting Scott's plan in motion. Right before the game, nerves building, friends and family were taking some pictures (and secret videos) of the couple with the city in the background. After a few pictures, Scott got down on one knee and asked Ashley to marry him, which, of course, she said yes! After the proposal, Ashley and Scott celebrated with the baseball game and drinks with friends. And, even though the Pirates lost that day, Ashley and Scott won! It wasn't until later that Ashley found out Scott had planned all of this, even Alexandra visiting from Miami, long before she thought she was in charge of all the plans.
