It was summer of 2011. Ashley just moved to Phoenix after graduating high school and Josh recently got a job as a mechanic. We were introduced through a mutual friend. We spent time together as friends. The more time that was spent together the closer we got. July 23rd of 2011 Josh asked Ashley to be his girlfriend. August of 2011 Ashley moved to California to be with Family but that just brought us closer together, Josh came to visit me for a few days and those days spending time together and walking on the beach is when we truly fell in love. Ashley then moved to Colorado for the next 9 months to be with her Mom and go to veterinary technician school. We then had a long distance relationship, falling in love more and more with each day that went bye. We saw each other every few months for a weekend, during the times apart there was many phone calls, texts, letters and skype calls. Summer of 2012 we got our first apartment together in Phoenix and brought home our first puppy Willie! We fell in love with the breed and decided to extend our family February of 2013 and brought home Ruby. The next few years was spent working hard and learning each other. Learning how to make the other happy, learning how to love , learning how to show respect and appreciation. Joshua is my best friend, soul mate and love of my life. We are so excited to celebrate our love with you guys and cannot wait to say "I do".

On July 26th 2016 we went to Disneyland with Ashley's Dad to celebrate our 5 year anniversary. We spent the day as a family going on rides, eating and shopping. It was time for the firework show and we sat down and watched it together and decided what last rides to go on before heading home. We went on its a small world ride. We were in the last boat and it was Ashley's Dad in front of us and we were sitting in the back. There was music playing and there was beautiful lights displaying on the building. While we were on the boat going under the bridge Ashley's Dad turned around to look at us asked if we had fun today and Josh had pulled out the ring. Josh asked Ashley to marry him and immediately said of course. It was the happiest place on earth and the happiest place on earth. It was an honor having Ashley's Dad there.
