Q + A

What airport should I fly into?

Islamorada is about halfway between Miami and Key West. Miami Airport is your best bet for convenience, cost, and flight availability. The rental car center has many companies to choose from. Key West airport is smaller with fewer airlines that fly into it and less rental car options.

Do I need a rental car?

Islamorada is about an hour and a half drive from both Miami and Key West. You can compare pricing of an Uber/Lyft/Taxi service to where you are staying vs a rental car. There is also an airport shuttle listed under our Travel section. If you are staying at Three Waters, Amara Cay, or La Siesta, they include a free shuttle service that will take you anywhere within a 9 mile stretch of the Keys during your stay.

What is the wedding attire?

Beach formal. For guys, that’s typically collared shirts (Hawaiian shirts are ok) and khakis/dress pants or shorts. For girls, a dress or jumpsuit. It might be hot so keep that in mind, we don’t expect anyone to wear a 3 piece suit. Basically, just please don’t wear t-shirts, jeans or swimsuits. Please note the ceremony and reception will be directly on the beach. Please keep this in mind for footwear or dress length.

How long should I stay?

Please stay for as long or as little as you like! We have reserved discounted rooms at the Three Waters Resort from Wednesday November 6th through Sunday November 10th. You can extend your stay as well! Everyone is welcome at the rehearsal dinner on Friday night and we are still finalizing the wedding week schedule.

Do I need to stay at the Three Waters Resort?

A room block has been reserved for the convenience of our guests to stay on property. This includes all resort amenities such as kayaks, paddle boards, bikes, and pools/beach bars. Your wristband provides access to Amara Cay and La Siesta resorts and all their amenities. There are numerous hotels and Airbnb's in the area. Please check the travel page for options.

Are my children invited to the wedding?

The wedding is an adult only event. Your kids are more than welcome to join you during your stay, but they will need supervision the day of the wedding.
