Like everything we do, our story is one of a kind—different, unexpected, and absolutely one for the books. It all began in June of 2013 at a friend’s apartment. We were invited by different people and started the night as complete strangers, unaware of what was about to unfold. It was just a kickback at first with drinks, a little smoke, competitive beer pong, and all the usual young adult fun. How the night ended, was anything but ordinary. After an unexpected visit from someones PO officer, Michael chose the spare bedroom where Ashley happened to be. With some partygoers calling it an early night, hiding out seemed like it might work in Michaels favor—after all, it was unlikely anyone would search too hard in a room with sleeping females. That night turned out to be the beginning of everything. After that night, we kept finding ourselves back at the same apartment. Each time hoping the other would be there and thankfully, we both kept showing up. A few Instagram and Twitter follows later; our connection officially began. That quickly turned into endless days spent together before and after shifts at work, countless nights laughing, and watching The Office, Criminal Minds, ABC Nightly World News and singing along to the Polka Song.We put thousands of miles on Ashleys Grandpa’s Intrepid, which topped out at about 45–50 mph on I-10 and shook the entire way, but it got us to every concert and back. Weve camped in some of our favorite spots across Arizona with our beloved dogs, Sport and Athena, cuddled up with us in more tents than we can count.Together, we’ve lived through so many unforgettable moments: near birthday drownings (don’t worry—Michael survived), Ashley’s first cars, falling in love, endless Office and Parks and Rec quotes, dancing all night under the stars at concerts and raves, moving into our first home, growing our “Funny Farm,” and our greatest accomplishment of all—our son, Michael William Wayne. Now, we can’t wait to add getting married to the very top of that list. We’re so excited to celebrate with the people who have supported us through every chapter (or even just a few), and who responded with “Finally!” or “It’s about time you married that girl!” when we announced our engagement. Like everything we do, one day just isn’t enough—so we’ve decided to make our wedding an entire weekend. Please join us for all of it or just part of it and help us create one of the greatest memories and adventures our little family will ever have as we become The Bobadillas.
