You may be wondering (if you haven't already read on Facebook) how Alex proposed. Well, of course I'm going to tell you!

My best friend Katie invited me to come take some “practice pictures” for her (she wants to do photography and LORD is she talented). So I decided to help her out but told her I wasn't sure if Alex would agree-- he usually hates having to take pictures.

So anyway, he agreed (because little did I know they had been planning this). I woke up and got ready and had no expectations of anything. Alex got ready too and even threw in some sneaky complaints like he had no idea why we were taking pictures + how annoyed he was with having to get dressed + not knowing where we were going. Plus I just KNEW we were getting engaged the next weekend, because we had planned to get engaged the day we moved into the new home.

So we pull up to this beautiful place and they let me pick the spot (in my mind more proof that we weren't getting engaged that weekend because I thought he would've picked the perfect little place for him). We started taking pictures like normal so at this point I'm 85% sure these are legit just pictures for our new house as Alex had put it the night before.

The next thing I know, Alex was like oh I’ve run out of ideas for poses-- maybe just kneel in front of me. LITTLE DID I KNOW, he was holding the ring up over my head while we were wasting time waiting on my parents who I had NO idea were coming--obviously because these were just regular pictures for our house--or so I thought.

The next thing I know, I hear Katie say ohhh look at that bird!! So I turned to look because I can't pass up a good creature sighting and I hear Alex say, "What about this pose?"

I turned and looked and he was down on one knee! Everything past that was a complete blur because I had so much adrenaline and pure bliss coursing through my veins. He honestly could've said just kidding and I never would've known!
