Our story is our favorite one to tell, and it all began in the fall of 2021. Michael loves to say that I asked him out, and technically, I did! My sorority was hosting a "girls ask guys" date function, and I asked him to be my date. For one, he was taller than me, which was a great starting point! The night of the event came, and for the first time, we met in person. The night went amazing, and I even texted my mom afterward saying I thought I had met my future husband.

As the football season got into full swing, both of us became super busy and didn’t reconnect until January, although we couldn’t stop thinking about each other. In January 2022, Michael officially asked me out, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Fast forward 11 months, to December 2022, when Michael decided to enter the transfer portal. By this point, we knew we were each other's forever, but the transfer portal definitely sped things up. Within a couple of weeks, Michael managed to pull off the proposal of my dreams. He asked my parents for their blessing and planned the most thoughtful proposal. We laugh now because we had our marriage certificate the day before we even got engaged! On January 4th, 2023, with just our immediate families and Pastor Bryan Schwartz present, we sealed the deal forever in the most beautiful ceremony. I guess what they say is true: "When you know, you know."

After our ceremony, we immediately headed to Los Angeles to start our next adventure. Though life as newlyweds in a completely new city brought its challenges, our love for each other only grew stronger. We are so thankful that Jesus placed incredible people in our lives during that time—people who pointed us to Him and helped bring us closer together. We're also grateful that, being so far from family and friends, we had to rely on each other as husband and wife. That period of time really strengthened our bond and led us to the next sweet season: Norman, Oklahoma.

Michael chose to spend his senior year of football playing for the Sooners at the University of Oklahoma. That season was a breath of fresh air in so many ways, and we both found a wonderful community. It was a year filled with unforgettable memories.

Now, we're in Jacksonville, FL as Michael prepares for our next chapter... the NFL. My parents are thrilled to finally get us home long enough to make "Toast to the Tarquins" a reality!

Now, you might be wondering, "Aren’t you already married?" Yes, we are! But, as you can tell from our story above, we were never able to properly celebrate with our family and friends, especially with the craziness of football schedules over the past couple of years. That’s why we’re so excited to finally celebrate with you all at a "Toast to The Tarquins!" Everyone's favorite part of weddings: the reception! We hope you'll join us to celebrate our love and to make up for lost time!
