Cruise & Travel Info
What do I need to bring for the cruise?
In addition to your usual vacation essentials (swimsuits, casual wear, sunblock, etc.), don’t forget:
Cruise Documents (Royal Caribbean boarding pass, passport, and any required ID)
Formal Attire for the wedding day and any formal nights onboard
Comfortable shoes for excursions
A light jacket or sweater for cooler evenings on deck
What are the pre-cruise testing requirements for my cruise?
Pre-cruise testing is no longer required to sail on any of our sailings.
Do I need a passport?
Yes, Royal Caribbean requires a valid passport for all guests. Please make sure your passport is up to date before the cruise.
When can I check-in for my Royal Caribbean cruise?
When it’s time to check in, we recommend you use the Royal Caribbean app to check in all guests on your reservation. The app provides a quick and easy check-in process so you can start your vacation sooner. Updates include:
- Your arrival time at the terminal - a scheduled arrival time at the terminal on your sail date
- The required Health Questionnaire – only available in advance in the app
- Our reimagined Safety Briefing - Simply tap the Safety icon on the homepage to launch the Safety Briefing, whether you’re in the terminal or you’ve just stepped onboard, to complete the first steps of the Safety Briefing before heading to your assigned Assembly Station. Remember all guests must complete the Safety Briefing before the ship can sail.
- Extended app check in window - Check in using the app until 8am the morning of your sailing
As before, guests may also check in using our website up to 48 hours before sailing. Guests must complete check in, however, using the app or at the terminal. We highly recommend completing check in using the app for the easiest, fastest, and complete check-in experience.
Royal Caribbean International requires guests to be checked in no later than 60 minutes prior to the scheduled sailing time*. Guests arriving late will not be permitted to sail.
When you Check-In at the terminal, show your SetSail Pass in the app to the terminal agent to scan and complete the check-in process.

Are there any formal nights or special events onboard?
Yes, Royal Caribbean usually hosts a formal night during the cruise, so bring an extra formal outfit if you’d like to participate in that as well.
What if I get seasick?
Don’t worry—Allure of the Seas is a huge, stable ship, and even though I (Ash) easily get motion sickness, I’ve never had an issue on this ship! That being said, I always prepare by bringing motion sickness medication just in case, and I recommend doing the same if you’re prone to seasickness. You can also bring motion sickness bands for extra peace of mind. Plus, the ship has remedies available onboard if you need them. You'll be able to enjoy the trip comfortably!

Are there vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free options?
Absolutely! Royal Caribbean offers a range of dietary options, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free meals in both the Main Dining Room and Windjammer Marketplace. If you have any specific dietary needs, simply inform your server, and they will be happy to accommodate you.
Are beverages included with meals?
Complimentary beverages such as water, tea, coffee, lemonade, and some juices are included with meals. For alcoholic drinks, sodas, specialty coffees, or bottled water, you can either pay per drink or purchase a Beverage Package for unlimited drinks throughout the cruise.
