Met on Tinder and set up our first date.

Tyler and I met for our first date at Hub Coffee first thing Sunday morning. Tyler had brought Dusty on our first date. As many know I am not the most outgoing person and when I saw Dusty I was so excited that I was going to be able to pet a dog if things got awkward. Little did I know, that dog now loves me more than he loves Tyler... just don't tell Tyler. I don’t think I made eye contact with Tyler a single time during that date. Some months after our first date Tyler told me that he had no idea if it was going to workout since I was so awkward during our first date.
After our date Tyler invited me over for dinner that night and the rest was history.
We spent most of our first months of dating. Floating the Missouri, hiking into mountain lakes, and getting to know each other.
Three weeks into our relationship we went on our first ever back packing trip into Heart Lake. Mathew was very worried at this point that I was going to backpack with a guy I hardly knew back into bear country. Once we hiked into Heart Lake Tyler started to teach me how to fly fish... I didn't catch a fish the entire trip. Tyler however, every time he took the fly rod from me, caught a fish. I told him I hated him at one point when he reeled in yet another fish to which he responded with, that's okay I love you. I laughed hit him in the shoulder and almost 6 months later told him I loved him.
Our relationship has never been short of adventures.

Tyler and I had concert tickets for this weekend and he convinced me three days before to sell the tickets so that we could hike into Heart Lake. I knew this only meant one thing, I was getting engaged. The whole way to the trail head Tyler told me he had a surprise for me once we got into the lake. Again I knew this only meant one thing. We made it into the lake a little before sunset and started setting up camp. As Tyler pulled out the Teepee I noticed it was a different color. When I questioned it, Tyler immediately said surprise. My surprise was a new teepee. Yay…

I went to bed the night of the 14th trying to hide the fact I was upset by the fact my surprise was a teepee. We already had a teepee, why did we need another? I woke up to Tyler’s alarm at 5 am the next morning and remember thinking who the hell sets an alarm in the mountains. Tyler, who never wakes up to alarms, popped out of bed and said he was going fishing. Annoyed, I fell back asleep. The next thing I knew I was being woken up by Tyler yelling my name. I flew out of bed and ran down to the lake to see that he was bringing in a fish, a grayling. I grabbed the net and netted the first fish of the trip, at 7 in the morning, as Tyler pulled a ring out of his pocket and asked me to marry him.
