The Vineyards at Betty’s Creek in the North Carolina Appalachian Mountains
When and where did y’all get engaged?
We became engaged April 20th on the beach at Station 18 in font of the Sullivan's Island light house.
What should I wear? Is there a dress code?
The dress code for the wedding is cocktail attire. Men can wear suits or a sportsman jacket. Women can wear mid or full length dress or a nice pantsuit. Women may want to bring a thin jacket or cardigan for the chilly mountain nights.
What will the weather be like this time of year?
Hopefully the weather will be sunny and warm during the day. After dusk, the mountains due tend to get chilly. The temperatures during the day can range from high 60’s to low 70’s. While at night, the temperature ranges from mid 40’s to 50’s.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be taking place in an outdoor garden; we recommend flat-soled shoes or wedges to avoid sinking into the grass. The reception will be held indoors with an open sky-view of the Appalachian Mountains.
What happens after the ceremony?
After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the designated cocktail patio, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages during a cocktail hour.
What time should I find a seat?
Help us get the party started as scheduled! We recommend that you be seated 15 minutes before the start of the ceremony to make sure everyone is seated on time. Unfortunately, if guest arrive late, they will asked to wait in the cocktail hour location to prevent any disruptions to the wedding ceremony.
