<p>I had been working in a granite shop in the middle of summer and just got home to my apartment. That is when Andrew’s cousin, Garrett, called me; very drunk saying I absolutely had to come over and meet Andrew. I went over to Matt and Lori’s house and mostly hung out with Garrett and Kali as Andrew was playing drinking games with some friends while home on leave. That night, I went back to my apartment and texted Kali saying there was absolutely no way he was going to remember me. I was right. But the next day was the Fourth of July and I had plans to go to Garden Valley with Kali and Garrett. Little did I know, Andrew was going with us. That is when Andrew remembers us meeting. We spent the rest of his leave together as much as we could. At his going away party at Matt and Lori’s house, I met Cody Hall, who looked me in my eyes and told me I was Andrew’s girlfriend and my response was “well you tell him that!”Cody was right. That night, Andrew asked me to be his girlfriend. and truly, the rest is history. A year of long distance and me going to California as much as possible to now living in our own home with our dog Jake. </p>
