Our Wedding

Our love story began in the most unexpected way—through a random Snapchat in November of 2020. Benton added me by mistake, thinking I was another Ashlyn he knew. Naturally, I asked, “Do I know you?” Spoiler alert: he didn’t! But that didn’t stop him from asking if he could add me as a friend on Facebook. It took me a while to accept his friend request, and even longer before I would engage with his messages —but sometimes, it’s clear that God has a plan, even when we don’t see it yet. We weren’t exactly searching for love, and we didn’t have the best track record when it came to relationships. But with Benton’s persistence and undeniable charm, he eventually convinced me to go on a date with him in March of 2021. As I drove to meet him for the first time, I felt butterflies in my stomach. Then a thought hit me: “This decision could change my life. What if he’s the man I marry one day?”. I thought I was absolutely crazy for thinking that back then, but I think that was God trying to give me a hint of what was about to happen. And from that day forward, we were inseparable. Since being together, we’ve grown in so many ways. Benton landed an amazing job opportunity and moved from Charleston to Columbia, SC in 2021. In 2022, Benton asked my parents for my hand in marriage and proposed at the Christmas Lights in Charleston. In 2023, we were blessed with our very first house, and soon we’ll be celebrating a year of making it our home. Along the way, we’ve shared countless adventures—traveling to places like New York, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Virginia, West Virginia, Georgia, and North Carolina. We enjoy spending time with family, cooking, going on new adventures, laughing and being silly. Whether it’s a “spa day,” a movie night, a cookout with friends, or cheering on our favorite sports team, we always find joy in the little things — together. Now, we can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of our friends and family at Holly Oak Farms in Saint Matthews on May 24th, 2025. We’re so excited to start this next chapter as husband and wife! #PresleyWeds
