Our Wedding

It all happened because of Soccer.. In the beginning of 2019, Ashlyn and JR started playing on the same indoor soccer team. Towards the end of 2019, Ashlyn, recently single, got JR's snapchat. She thought he was cute, and thought he might be dropping hints that he liked her as well (there were PLENTY of hints) but she wasn't sure. She was too nervous to reach out to him for fear of him not reciprocating feelings. For two months, she kept trying to think of ways to start a conversation with him, but kept chickening out. It wasn't until a good friend of ours, Ethan Parsons, one of our groomsmen, officially joined the team. She finally had something she felt that she could message him about, and their conversation never stopped. (Thanks, E, for giving Ash a reason to message JR) Our first date was a group date for New Years. We went bowling, and then to the movies. While at the movies, JR kept checking his phone to see if it was midnight, and when the clock changed to 12, he leaned in for a kiss. We aren't even entirely sure which Jumanji movie we were watching. Three days later, we went exclusive, eight months later, we moved in together, and 11 months after that first date, we got our fur baby, our Rusty boy. We have been through many chapters of life together. We have held each other up during times of sorrow, and loss. We have celebrated each other's accomplishments and endeavors with love and an unwavering presence. We have explored 9 states, gone on countless hikes (or hot girl walks), and visited many breweries, We are very excited to add more chapters to our story. Thank goodness for soccer.

We have not blocked out any rooms for the wedding. However, we did want to provide our family and friends who may be travelling a few options to look into. Besides looking into Air Bnbs, there are a few hotels in the Battle Ground area. in the description of each hotel, we will include a rough time estimate the hotel is away from the wedding venue.

While you and your family are in town, JR and I would love to point you to some fun things to do. As we are planning on Honeymoonin' in November, we would be happy to join you on an adventure or two while you are in town! We share a love for the outdoors, reading, and food. You should check out some of our favorite haunts.

For those who love books, this store is a bookworm's heaven. Powell's book store is an entire city block large, with MULTIPLE stories of books. There is even a coffee shop in the heart of the store! Rooms are color coded, and they give out maps of the store at the entrances.

Seaside is Ash's favorite beach to visit. The bumper cars on the main strip are a must whenever we visit. We also love the gelato shop they have off the main street.

Ilani (Pronounced Ay-lawn-ay) is a hotel and a casino. Often times they have shows, or promotions going on. If you are interested in gambling or catching a show, be sure to check them out!

Rigo's is the BEST Mexican food locally. They also make a mean margarita ;)

Teri's is a favorite date night location of ours. Ash loves the alfredo, and tator tot keg and JR likes the chicken picatta.
