The mission of Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is to welcome all to celebrate the American spirit in a setting that unites the power of art with the beauty of nature. Founded by philanthropist and arts patron&nbsp;Alice Walton, Crystal Bridges is a public non-profit charitable organization. The museum opened on November 11, 2011, and welcomes all with free admission. Crystal Bridges takes its name from a nearby natural spring and the bridge construction incorporated in the building, designed by world-renowned architect&nbsp;Moshe Safdie. A series of pavilions nestled around two spring-fed ponds house galleries, meeting and classroom spaces, and a large, glass-enclosed gathering hall. Guest amenities include a&nbsp;restaurant (Eleven) and Coffee Bar&nbsp;on a glass-enclosed bridge overlooking the ponds, a museum store&nbsp;designed by architect Marlon Blackwell, and a&nbsp;library featuring more than 50,000 volumes of art reference material. Five miles of&nbsp;sculpture&nbsp;and&nbsp;walking trails&nbsp;link the museum’s 120-acre park to downtown Bentonville, Arkansas.

The Amazeum features approximately 50,000 square feet of exhibit and learning spaces inside the museum to bring learning to life and enhance family involvement, while evoking a sense of curiosity and discovery through hands-on activities.

The Walmart Museum, including Walton’s 5&amp;10, is closed while they undergo an extensive renovation.During the renovation, to ensure there is as little disruption as possible, we are excited to welcome visitors to our temporary home at The Walmart Museum Heritage Lab.We’ve created this temporary location to share our story. We call it our “Lab” because it’s where we test new technologies, new exhibits, and new ways to share Walmart’s heritage. As you go through the Lab space, take your time to try new things and to share your thoughts with us so that the “new Walmart Museum” on the square can be the best that it can be.

The Bentonville Square is the heart of our historic downtown area and features upscale restaurants and bars, stylish boutiques, delicious bakeries, inviting coffee shops, and unique public artwork.&nbsp; Year-round, the Square is bustling with exciting community programs like First Fridays, Farmers Markets, and Art Markets, presented by Downtown Bentonville, Inc., cycling and running races presented by Bentonville Parks and Recreation, and more. Our community gathers on the Square each winter&nbsp;to see it illuminated with dazzling holiday lights. No matter what time of year, the Bentonville Square is the place to be!

8th&nbsp;Street Market is a community-focused food hub, where a spirit of creativity meets entrepreneurship, growing a group of tenants that serve one another as well as the community.&nbsp;By supporting small and midsize local farmers, 8th&nbsp;Street Market gives back in more ways than one, pairing culinary excellence and experiences to feed a cycle of growth for the area’s agricultural producers and food entrepreneurs. 8th&nbsp;Street Market is a key component of the ever-expanding downtown Bentonville experience, located in heart of the Market District. Here, gatherings are grounded in a commitment to community, a shared love of food and drink, and the belief that together, we can all become better.

Down a meandering path, surrounded by the flora and fauna of Bella Vista, the Mildred B. Cooper Memorial Chapel towers 50 feet into the tree line. This profound structure consists of 15 repetitive Gothic arches made from 31 tons of steel.&nbsp; It is encased by field stone walls and 4,400 square feet of cut sheet glass. As the natural light enters the Chapel, it dances in leaf shaped patterns across a stone floor comprised of native limestone and flagstone, just as intended by architect E. Fay Jones.
