From childhood friends in Cookeville, Tennessee, to reconnecting halfway around the world, Ashlynn and Dylan’s story is one of unexpected moments and deep connection.

After going in different directions for a while, Dylan pursued service in the Marine Corps, while Ashlynn studied psychology at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Their paths crossed again when Dylan came across one of Ashlynn’s social media posts, and just like that, they knew it was meant to be.

Despite the 13-hour time difference during Dylan’s deployment in Okinawa, Japan, they kept in touch through late-night calls and early-morning messages. The distance only made their connection stronger. When Dylan finally came home, they settled into a cozy apartment in Chattanooga with their dog, Goose, marking the start of a new chapter together.

Their engagement came during a trip across Europe with Ashlynn’s family. After a chaotic morning of travel mishaps in London, they made their way to Venice, where, on a quiet bridge overlooking the canals, Dylan asked Ashlynn to spend forever with him.
