Our story begins in the 10th grade, a week or so into a new school year. Ashtin and Brodie had the same photography class. You might be thinking , “Oh they met fell in love and lived happily ever after.” Well don’t jump the gun just yet. Ashtin and Brodie only had mild pleasantries until Junior year.


Every Year our school took a group of kids, who aspired to be the next Quentin Tarantino to Austin Film Festival. This trip is the turning point in our love story. This trip Ashtin and Brodie would grow closer. Did they have their first kiss over a wonderful animated move called Shrek. I don’t know. They didn’t kiss and tell. Once the trip had come to a close, our lovers never made it official and went separate ways for now... The school year goes on, the two remain good friends, but both still have burning hearts for one another.


God really does work in mysterious way, Senior year 2020, Ashtin and Brodie get invited back to Austin Film Festival once more. Ashtin, going into this trip not looking for anything, Brodie had other plans. On this trip, they had a couple of mutual friend. They were all hanging out in their friends hotel room. Ashtin had left the room to get a phone charger, and this is when brodie tells the group he has a crush on Ashtin. Ashtin returns and Brodie leaves to go to take a phone call, and the group asks Ashtin, “How do you know Brodie?” She replays, “We had a fling on this trip last year and I still really like him.” With a grin, one of our friends says, “Say less Girl, I got you.”


The evening goes on, friends congregate to other rooms, leaving Ashtin and Brodie to confront, and confess their feelings for one another.


The Conversation;


Brodie: Ashtin your know I regret not getting together last year. I really liked.... I mean like you as more than a friend.
Ashtin: No me too.
Brodie: So do you want to try this again?
Ashtin: Yes.


Little did the new couple know that, 4 years later, they would be planning a wedding.
