Although we both attended the University of Alabama and had multiple mutual friends, we didn't meet until several years post-grad.

Shep's high school friend, Jacob, was planning to propose to his now wife and Ashton's college roommate, Phillippi, at her family farm in Alabama. They had invited several friends that weekend to "celebrate Jacob's birthday" and Jacob called Ashton to come surprise Phillippi after the proposal. Ashton and Shep officially met that night and hit it off immediately.

The week they met, Shep was moving to Nashville, and Ashton was living in Dallas. After several months of long distance, Ashton made the move to Nashville.

After getting engaged and discussing wedding destinations, Tuscaloosa was brought up and seemed like the perfect fit. We can't wait for all of you to see the place we both spent our college years!
