We met at McKinley Elementary where we both did our internships. He was interning for counseling and I was student teaching. I thought he was so cute, but neither of us had the courage to talk to each other for about 2-3 weeks into school. I followed him on instagram after doing some major investigating to figure out his name, a few days later he had stopped me to tell me he likes my photography and I just said thanks and blew him off. Then about a week later he walked back with me and my kindergarten class from Daylis stadium, he tried to make small talk but I didn't really make an effort. After this I knew I had to do better so I was driving to Great Falls to pick up my new cow and remembered he was from Harlowton so I posted a picture of the windmills and he slid up on my story. We went on a date 3 days later. The days of timing my walks with students perfectly past his room, checking backpacks when he was in the hall teaching lessons, going outside early at recess to play with kids, and running random errands just to see him were long gone. Because we have been in love ever since that first date. But nobody in the school knew we were dating, so it was a big secret for a long time. He is now Counseling at Bench Elementary and I am teaching in my own classroom at Skyview High School, so I sadly don't get to see him everyday. We dated 9 months before we got engaged and cannot wait to do life together.
