Its crazy to think back now and see how far theyve come. Everything they are, all started because two of Samuels friends left his number and Instagram handle on a napkin during one of Athaiahs shifts at Applebees. Earlier that month, Athaiah had served Samuel and his friends and he was interested in her the moment he saw her. The two of them met a few days after Athaiah requested to follow Samuel on Instagram. They went for a walk and got to know each other and their interest in each other only grew from there.

It all started on a napkin... 

I knew that Samuel was the man that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with before we had even became an official couple. Me and Samuel drove to Fort Wayne to pick up some Chick-Fil-A for dinner. We sat in a parking lot and ate our food and talked for over 2 hours. I remember thinking that I have never connected with someone so much in a short amount of time. I remember thinking this was the first time he opened up to me and how similar we were in the right areas and different in other areas. I didn't want the night to end. He asked me to be his girlfriend about a month after this and ever since then there has never been a moment where I doubted he was the person I wanted to spend my life with.

When Athaiah knew Samuel was the one 

Like Athaiah, I knew she was the one not long after we started dating. We connected so easily at the start of our relationship that when I finally thought, "this is the one I want to be with forever," it seemed like a no-brainer instead of some huge revelation. We started dating in the winter, so my car was usually the designated hang-out place to stay warm. We made a habit of parking by the lake and just talking for hours while listening to my awesome taste in music. During these many hours spent together, I learned how funny, smart, hard-working and strong she is. And one night, as I was driving her back to her dorm room, I realized that I wanted nothing more than to spend every minute with this woman.
