When Josh and Athena graduated from River Ridge High School in Woodstock, Georgia in 2014 (Go Knights??), it's safe to say neither one of them thought they would ever see the other one again. Well, (thankfully!) fate had other plans. On a chilly Saturday in October of 2021, Athena’s friend Zoe invited her to Downtown Woodstock with her and Zoe’s now husband. Athena wasn’t sure who else would be there, and was surprised when Josh and one of his friends had tagged along for the night out! They had a great time hanging out with the whole group, while continuing to chat with each other and bopping around DT.

The group ended up on the rooftop of Pure Taqueria (shoutout) and danced the night away while drinking the best margs in the big city of Woodstock. Josh and Athena continued to hit it off and after this iconic night, turns out neither one could stop thinking about the other! After Josh sending some mixed signals, more dates including a fun day date to the Braves World Series parade, and Athena forcing Josh to watch all the Harry Potter movies, they became almost inseparable. It took only a few shorts months for them to know they were going to be together forever (and Josh was going to be a cat dad for life, although he didn't know it yet)!
