Caleb and Athena met while they both attended Kennesaw Mountain High School as part of the Marching Band. Athena was in the Colorguard; Caleb on the Drumline. While they did not start out as close friends due to Athena having a 1 year head start on high school, they first connected when Caleb volunteered to help with KM Winterguard's Tarp Crew in the Spring semester of his freshman year.

From there they became fast friends over their shared love of reading and Marvel movies. While Caleb was quick to develop a crush on Athena (and was not always the best at hiding it), it would not be until a few years later when he left for college at Alabama that Athena began to have similar feelings.

In the interim period between when Caleb left for college and they started dating, they remained in contact and kept each other updated on life, texting nearly everyday. Athena got her CMA certifications and began working in a private practice. Caleb dove headfirst into the college life and his first season in the Million Dollar Band.

They started dating February 13th, 2022. Caleb asked her out over Snapchat (I know...lame). But, because he was still out of the state at the time their first official date wasn't until a month later in March when he was able to come home for the weekend. Their first date was a hike up Kennesaw Mountain and then Athena cooking her famous greek chicken later that night for the both of them.

There have been many milestones and changes since that first date until now. World Class Winterguard competitions, buying a house, the start of a career, and adopting a dog for Athena. Earning a spot on the MDB Drumline, post - season travel, getting a degree, and moving home for Caleb. But one thing that remained constant was the love they shared for each other. Which is why, a little more than 1.5 years after they started dating, Caleb proposed to Athena at a Zach Seabaugh (their favorite artist) concert on September 29th, 2023.
