Our Wedding

In February 2019, Atlas auditioned for a show with the Theatre Club at Hudson Valley Community College and met Sumner, who was running auditions and invited Atlas to the club’s next meeting. At that meeting the club picked new leadership: Sumner became president and Atlas was voted prop manager, and they started hanging out every week. They began dating at the end of March (they’ve chosen the last weekend of March as their anniversary) and, when the COVID-19 pandemic began, moved in together and learned how to lean on each other through a difficult time. Both later enrolled at Binghamton University; Sumner graduated with a degree in Physics in 2021 and Atlas earned a Fine Art degree in 2023. After graduation, Sumner fulfilled a longtime wish to show Atlas Europe—first Iceland, then Amsterdam—where, wandering along the canals and into a small park, Sumner asked Atlas to marry him, and Atlas said yes.

Cocktail attire for the ceremony and reception — but think "camp-chic." Leave the stilettos at home; the venue has grass, gravel, and trails. Block heels, wedges, or dressy flats are highly recommended. The rest of the weekend is casual and comfortable.

All guests are welcome to stay on site at Skye Farm Camp at no cost beginning Friday August 14th at 3:00 pm through Sunday August 16th at 11:00 am. If you want to stay at the camp, please indicate that in your RSVP and once received, we will let you know what accommodation you have been assigned. Directions to Camp:Skye Farm is located off Exit 24 of the Northway (I-87.) Turn left onto East Schroon River Road and follow the brown &amp; orange signs. For the Ogden and Shippey retreat lodges turn right up the hill, or proceed down the dirt road to the main camp for the main wedding activities.
