Jennifer - Matron of Honor
Jenn and I have been best friend since I was 16. Jenn was the cool cheerleader and I was the awkward band geek. Somehow we managed to create a beautiful friendship. We have done some pretty dumb stuff together, as most teenagers do. One time, she almost got us suspended by doing a back hand spring leap type thing through the window of my lifted Ford F350 as I was DRIVING OUT of the school parking lot. Another time, she had a party at her moms house and we pierced peoples ears and belly buttons in the bathroom (including mine... don't worry, I no longer have it) just because her sister left her piercing kit at the house. There are tons of stories I could talk about but I will leave it at those since they're slightly horrific enough. We've been through the good, the bad and the ugly together. Our favorite movie is Bridesmaids and we can quote almost the entire movie, we don't watch anything else together, it's a tradition that can't be broke. I couldn’t have wished for a better person to grow up with and continue growing up with. I admire how fierce Jenn has always been and how she's always been unapologetically herself. Jenn is who got me into the fashion and beauty world. If it weren't for her, I wouldn't know the difference between Louis Vuitton & Louboutin (inside joke). I am proud of Jenn and the life she has built with her Husband Scott (who kicked me in face the first time we met... long story... totally accidental... we think). Can't wait to have you by my side ❤️
Emily - Sister/ Bridesmaid
Emily is my little sister. Looking at us now you would never know that the two of us did not like each other very much when we were kids. It wasn't until I was 22 and Emily was 18 that we finally had our "aaahhh okay you're actually alright" realization. Even though Emily & I didn't get along much when they were younger, we do share a lot of fond memories together. I used to play school and house with Em. I worked on her math, science and reading/ writing skills. Emily enjoyed it most of the time, until I marked her wrong on a spelling quiz & then I was the worst person on planet earth. We also share a love for Pot Pies because our Nana (dads mom) used to have us over for sleepovers and served those every time. We would eat them with the ceramic Chinese spoons which are also a shared love to this day. Emily and I can recall lots of hilarious moments from our childhood surrounding: vacations, video games, ATVS ("DUCK"), camping, pranks (they were never great for me), the pool, and more. Both of us have adopted our dads' jokester personality and even though Emily tends to be more witty with her jokes, our dad is still proud of us both... (right Dave?) Emily got the brains of the family for sure. She is incredibly smart, and more mature than anyone her age. She is growing up to be an incredible woman and I could not be more proud of her. I am very thankful to have Emily as my little sister and cannot wait to see where she goes in life.
Jenna - Bridesmaid
Jenna and I met the day we signed our lease together. Yup, thats right. We both wanted out of the current home situations we were in and our brothers were friends so we said "good enough for me" and signed a year lease for an apartment. We ended up living together for almost 3 years and went on PLENTY of fun adventures together. Jenna and I grew together, helped each other through those growing pains and have held each other up since. Some of my favorite memories with Jenna are the random shenanigans we would get into on a whim. Off roading, Road Trips to and around the Tahoe area, full days at the Eddy or nights dancing at NOVI, target practice in the middle of the desert, paddle boarding around Tahoe with the dogs, playing in the snowfall at 2am outside the apartment, car karaoke, etc. That apartment brought me one of my closest friends and someone I consider a sister. Jenna has one of the most beautiful souls & greatest sense of humor. She taught me how to hold, burp and rock my niece to sleep when I was panicking during my first time babysitting. Thank you for laughing at my jokes even when they aren't funny, for holding me during my darkest days, for bringing such a light into my life, for supporting me as I move through all these different stages of life and for just being you. I know you are only supposed to live in FL for a year, but you can come home now. Okay thanks, bye ❤️
Connor - Bridesmaid
So Connor and I have known each other since we were in fourth grade. Connor is my longest lasting friend, but it did not necessarily start out that way. Connor was also almost my first fistfight…over a game of four square. It’s hilarious imagining a 4 foot nothing Aubrey trying to stand up to someone that was over a foot taller than her even at 9 years old. We eventually became friends later that 4th grade year and we got to grow up and grow into young women together. We had many adventures in high school that also included Jennifer my Matron of Honor - which includes that belly button piercing story. Most of my favorite high school memories include Connor. Between Qdoba parking lot dance parties, lake days, offsite lunch, and other adventures…. I will not mention. To this day, when certain songs play on my phone, you can catch me doing our little dances to them and giggling like I was 16 again. Connor has held my hand in some of the darkest days, like when we lost my best friend my junior year of high school. I am so thankful that even though we lost touch for a few years, we were able to come back together like no time has passed. I am so so proud of the woman, wife and mother Connor has become and continues to strive to be. Connor, you are one of the strongest people I know and through everything, you’ve continued to stay true to yourself, and your heart. Love you sister 💜
Gabby - Bridesmaid
When Gabby and I first met... it was not an instant friendship. We laugh at it now and telling our story is one of our favorites to tell. The lesson we learned with one another was definitely, don't judge a book by it's cover... or their sweatshirt (inside joke). Once we got over that, the friendship grew and we became very close friends. One of my favorite memories of us is when I convinced Gabby to go on a 24 hour Camping trip 3 hours away with 6 dogs. On that trip we had to build the propane grill, but forgot tools, so Gabby (the innovate gal she is) used her nails and a pocket knife to put it together. Later that night, we decided we were going to stay an extra day but then a bear attacked the campsite so we quickly left the next morning. The two of us have spent many nights downtown with other friends (nights that they only partially remember). She will deny it, but Gabby loves when I play the Harry Potter theme song on the Clarinet for her too (another inside joke). I am super excited for Gabby and her future as a fricken Optometrist and to celebrate her wedding with her future Husband Julian (JuJu) in Italy!
Danielle - Bridesmaid
The moment Danielle & I met we knew we were meant to be friends. Danielle has been an incredible, kind, loving and loyal friend to me. Blessed is an understatement for sure. I admire how Danielle carries herself through life and her relationship with her Husband, Mitchell (Casey's Groomsman). Danielle has taught me that it is okay to open myself back up to new friends and has been consistent since we've met. She is the definition of "sometimes the people whom we've known for only a short amount of time have better intentions and a bigger impact than those we've known forever." She brings such a light to everyones life she enters and I am thankful to call her one of my Best Friends. She has quickly become one of my favorite travel buddies after we went to the wholesale market in TX for my boutique. She endured 5 straight days shopping with me and averaging 14,000 steps in one building. She's an easy friend to please, just bring her to a brewery and let her talk beer with the Brew Master's and she's a happy camper. I am not one to love talking on the phone, but this is someone I will talk or FaceTime for hours cackling at essentially nothing and it makes my whole day. Danielle has the biggest heart and best dance moves, so find her on the dance floor if you're in need of someone to get wild with.
Maryana - Bridesmaid
My favorite teachers pet forever and always. Maryana and I met back at UNR in a very dreadful class. We became friends after one of the classes because our other classmates decided we were all going to get tacos together. It was at that lunch that I was like "daannngg okay she might be a major teachers pet, but shes cuper cool!" A Reno girl and a Vegas girl took on UNR together and haven't looked back. Maryana and I used to go to the gym almost every day together after school and bonded over the love of weight lifting and being strong independent women. I have always looked up to her honestly, and I don't even know if she knows that. Maryana has one of the kindest souls and brightest personalities. Her ability to make people smile, laugh and feel comfortable (and sometimes feel awkward HA), is amazing. She is one of those girls that is an absolute GEM and beauty but is incredibly humble. Maryana is the down for it friend. A drive to the lake? Down. A night downtown? Down. Saturday night at the gym? Down. Be my Bridesmaid? DOWN.
Brent - Best Man
Most of you know that I met Brent, December 16th 1992 when he was fortunate enough to be born into an amazing family that loves and despises him at the same time. Brent is my taller littler brother who had always able to entertain and bring many smiles to whoever he’s around but also has the side of him that causes havoc, that’s mostly for our mother. Brent was able to accomplish something that many can only dream of. After dedicating himself to playing division one baseball at Youngstown (GO GUINS🐧) Brent was able to travel the world playing semi-pro and pro ball. One of my favorite memories with Brent was when I told him soda tastes a lot better when you shake it up. He proceeded to shake up said soda & as you guessed it, it exploded all over not only himself but the poor cashier at the grocery store. That is where Brent’s trust issues started which in hindsight prepared him for how cruel the world can be. Thank you Brent for choosing to be my little brother. I am looking forward to having him by my side during this day.
Jake - Groomsman
To many, family means you're born into it. For us, family is something you live for. Jake, was the older brother that I never had but at the same time made my life a living hell at SRJC. Thanks to Jake's outstanding baseball playing, once coach found out we were cousins, there was this expectation from not only the coach, but myself to be just as good. We would take yearly trips up to Lake Tahoe to go snowboarding; we would have to take separate vehicles due to the amount of people we had. One childhood memory I will keep with me forever, was Jake making animals noises over walkie-talkies (yes this was before cell phones) and having our entire vehicle entertained for the 4 hour trip... or at least until he killed the batteries. I always idolized Jake for his hard work and dedication to not only his baseball career, but to his family as well. He may not have taught me the same values directly, but growing up and watching him, I have also adopted them.
Mitchell - Groomsman
Mitchell had the pleasure of meeting me at Jimmy Gs cigar bar when Aubrey decided it was time for two important men in her life to meet. She has known him since she was 13 and they are practically family. Mitchell and I immediately hit it off. Within the hour we started making fun of Aubrey and she looked at the both of us and said "nope. I don't like this... this was a mistake". Since then Mitchell, his wife Danielle (Aubrey's Matron of Honor), Aubrey and myself have become very close friends. One of my favorite things about Mitchell is he is the type of guy I could call and he would drop what he's doing to talk or help me with what I have going on. He cares deeply about the people he loves and is a solid, all around guy. Aubrey and I are thankful for him to be standing with us on this day to celebrate.
Jean - Groomsman
I met Jean when I started my job in Nevada as he was one of the other apprentices in my class. Jean and my relationship grew once we started seeing each other once a month for our Saturday apprentice classes. Throughout our friendship, I have gotten to get to know his wife Selena and their adorable kids Benny + Ellie. We have made many memories at work, going to concerts and swapping life stories. One of the things I appreciate most about Jean is his dedication to not only is family but his work as well. Jean is an incredibly hard worker and will make a fine Journeyman whenever he finally finishes his underground hours. Hurry up already!
Dexter - Groomsman
I met Dexter in January of 2015. He attended North West Lineman College along side myself and Eric (other groomsman). Dexter was younger than us, but from his personality and work ethic you would have no idea. Dexter is incredibly smart and helped get a couple dumb California kids get through the book work. I remember when we first offered Dexter alcohol, he decided on a Mikes Hard Lemonade, because he did not like the taste of beer. I can now say, I can credit Dexter for mine and my families love of Busch Light. Dexter has always been the one that has kind of held us together being the one to always call or text Eric or I. He always made time to reach out to Eric and I for updates in life. Everyone needs a friend like Dexter. I always felt so comfortable with Dexter, that after he topped out, my parents allowed him to come out from Missouri to California to live with them while he found work there.
Eric - Groomsman
I met Eric in January 2015, at North West Lineman College in Texas. The college created a Facebook group for housing for us, and I saw a picture of this fully tatted, good looking, So Cal guy and I told myself, "I can't have a roommate that looks better than me and that's from So Cal since I am from Nor Cal". Lo and behold, we did not become roommates, but he did become one of my best friends. Along side Dexter, one of my other Groomsman, we would spend countless nights at Rockin' Rodeo Country Bar (RIP) or going to our first NASCAR event, we were all pretty much inseparable. I am thankful for our Wednesday study nights, with our Little Caesars pizzas cause that's all we could afford (since most of the money we saved was for the bar). Even though we don't see each other often, Eric has consistently been one of my best friends. Thank You for answering my linework questions, but you still need to give me an answer for what "Ferro Resonance" is.
Jordan L. - Groomsman
When I transferred down to the south yard in Austin, Jordan was one of the next apprentices, up. You might think this was going to be one of those stories where he took me under his wing, but that's not it at all. He didn't even talk to me... until I moved into the 812 Trap House. That's when the friendship started, but only because he was forced to talk to me since I was his new roommate. Over time we made many memories together including after nights out on the town, his chevy pickup would always end up in the empty lot next door, doing donuts as Sara is in the front seat screaming "NO JOJO! STOP IT!!" Since our friendship began at the Trap house, Jordan has grown into one of my closest friends. I know I can call him any time, (or his wife Sara if he screens my call)... and he will be there for me. It was the day after Jordan and Sara's wedding in Costa Rica that Aubrey and I got engaged, so thanks for the proposal spot and fractured shoulder, bud.
Jordan D - Groomsman
Aubrey introduced me to Jordan at one of the local watering holes, The Eddy. Jordan and Aubrey had been friends for a few years at this point, so I knew it was important for me to get to know him. After hanging out a few times and talking sports, I knew he was a good guy, and our friendship began. One of our first conflicts we came across is that Jordan is an Oklahoma Sooners fan, and me living in Texas, I adapted to becoming a Texas Longhorn fan, HOOK EM'🤘🏼. After a couple years of pent up rivalry, we took it out on each other during the tortilla slap challenge (except it was me slapping him because he sucks at rock, paper, scissors). Funny enough, Aubrey wanted Jordan standing with her, but when I told her no, I didn't tell her it was because I wanted Jordan on my side... so I also won that. One of my favorite things about Jordan is how selfless he is. Even when he shouldn't he puts people above himself and it shows true character. He is also very passionate about the things he loves, including being a Marvel & Disney adult. Both Aubrey and I are happy to have him a part of this day and standing with us both regardless of who's side he is on (because truthfully I didn't want to see him in a dress.)
Riata Rose - Flower Girl
Riata is Aubrey's niece and was the first to make her an Aunty. Riata has been Aubrey's pride and joy since she was born. She is one of the coolest little girls on the planet who is not afraid of a thing. Her dad raised her as a feral ranch kid yet she is the kindest and most respectful kids. Her favorite color is Green (just like her aunty) and her favorite animals are Cheetahs. Riata wants to be a construction worker so she can build herself a house. Her favorite memory with Titi (Aubrey) was taking pictures and modeling for the kids section of her boutique. She LOVES Uncle Casey and playing with him at our house is one of her favorite things and is very excited for us to get married!
Sterling - Ring Bearer
Sterling is Aubrey's nephew and is the little boy that made me want to be a Boy Mom. Sterling is one of the sweetest and most pure kids on this planet. He is a lot like his dad and is a man of few words, but he is very intellectual for his age. His favorite animal is a Giraffe, his favorite color is blue & he loves going to trampoline parks with his dad and Riata. Sterling wants to grow up and own his own dirt bike to ride around all day. He also loves to hangout with dad and the horses too. He told me his favorite memory of us is when I got to take him up to Virginia City with me during a meeting I had, and he got to eat a chocolate muffin and hangout with me the rest of the day until we picked Riata up from school (honestly I am amazed he remembers that day. It just proves how kids brains are like sponges). Uncle Casey is one of his favorite people he said, and he is excited to hangout with him more!
Chaney Rae - Flower Girl
Chaney is the daughter of Aubrey’s “Brother” (her brother Jeremy’s best friend) Lance, and her friend Britney. Lance has been in Aubrey’s life since she can remember and Britney and Aubrey have known each other since they were 9. Chaney has quickly won my heart. She’s an amazing kid with a stellar attitude and great manners. She loves her horses, or as she likes to call them “dip-a-dees” and she even has her own pony named Hank. Her parents are raising her to be an independent little lady, and her mom and I joke all the time about when she’s older; she’s going to have her dad‘s diesel mechanic skills, her mom‘s cowgirl heart and she’s going to be one tough cookie. Chaney, Sterling and Riata are the three little musketeers. You’ll see them running around together having a blast.
