Restaurants:

There are plenty of great spots around the Lake Martin/Dadeville/Waverly/Auburn area, but here are a few that you might want to check out!

Breakfast:

1. Big Blue Bagel (Auburn): 40 minute drive to the venue. A local favorite in downtown Auburn.

2. Byron's Smokehouse (Auburn): 37 minute drive to the venue but it sure would be worth it.

3. Wild Flour Bakery (Waverly): 25 minute drive to the venue.

4. The Camelia Cafe (Dadeville): Located in the Dadeville square. Also open for lunch and a specialty menu on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.

5. The Social (Lake Martin): 15 minute drive from the venue. Great views of the lake too!

6. Well Red -The Fox, Original, and Second Story (Auburn): 36 minute drive to the venue. Auburn coffee shop/bookstore that expanded into 3 locations across the city. Aubrey recommends an iced brown sugar latte and a key lime pie bar! Also serves an assortment of wines and treats.

Lunch:

1. Downtown Auburn: 40 minute drive to the venue. You can find everything from pizza, burgers, tacos, bao etc. Jacob highly recommends the Buffalo Chicken Dip bao buns from the The Irritable Bao.

2. Niffer’s Place (Lake Martin): 10 minute drive to the venue (Burgers, sandwiches, etc.).

3. Botanic (Opelika): 45 minute drive to the venue. You can visit their market (pastries, coffee, and small bites) or their sit down restaurant. Reservations ahead of time are recommended. Make sure to spend some time looking at the beautiful scenery!

4. Taco Mama (Auburn): Yes, we know it is a chain.... But it is just too good! 38 minute drive to the venue.

5. Lost Pizza Co. (Auburn): 41 minute drive to the venue. Aubrey highly recommends adding the hot sauce and a drizzle of hot honey to your slice of pizza!

6. Melt (Auburn): 41 minute drive to the venue. Lunch time stop with sandwiches, soups, and salads.

7. Bow & Arrow (Auburn): 40 minute drive. Casual spot serving barbecue and Tex- Mex dishes along with beer, wine, and margaritas.

8. Hey Day Market (Auburn): 38 minute drive. One of Auburn University's on campus dining options that is also open to the general public. Food hall with a variety of counter-serve vendors offering tacos, pizza, and burgers. They also have a local brewery right next door!

Dinner:

1. Acre (Auburn): 40 minute drive from venue. Reservations are recommended. Make sure to get the lacquered cornbread. It is a must!

2. Amsterdam Cafe (Auburn): 40 minute drive from venue. There are also several "fast casual" locations scattered throughout Auburn as a more casual lunch or dinner option with the same tasty food.

3. Hamilton’s (Auburn): 40 minute drive from venue. This place has 2 locations (both are delicious) and neither take reservations, so be prepared for a wait/call ahead if it’s busy!

4. Lucy's (Auburn): 44 minute drive from venue. One of Aubrey's favorites! Make sure to get the lemon meringue ice cream pie!

5. Oskar's Cafe (Lake Martin): Located near the venue. Also open for lunch. Make sure to get the fried cheese balls!!!!

6. Kowaliga Restaurant (Lake Martin): Old-school American eatery with great views of the lake.

7. The Landing at Parker Creek (Lake Martin): Outdoor seating with views of the lake. Make sure to get a bushwhacker!

8. SpringHouse (Alexander City): 37 minutes to venue. Southern cuisine prepared in a hilltop house with rustic- chic decor. Reservations required.

9. The Waverly Local (Waverly): 22 minutes to venue. In addition to dinner, they are also open for Saturday lunch and Sunday brunch.

10. Zazu Gastropub (Opelika): 40 minutes to venue. Popular date night spot for Aubrey and Jacob!

Activities:

Lake Martin: Enjoy the beauty of Lake Martin while you are here! Businesses all over the lake offer kayak, bike, boat, and jet ski rentals.

Disc Golfing: Jacob's favorite! If you would prefer to try disc golf rather than regular golf, the Tumble Tree Disc Golf Course is located in Opelika.

Golfing: The Grand National Robert Trent Jones course and Stillwater’s are great courses in the area.

Shopping: Aubrey's favorite past time besides reading! Auburn, Opelika, and Waverly all have a wonderful selection of shops to browse around.
