Wedding FAQ 💌
We’re so grateful for the love and support surrounding this special moment in our lives. Below are answers to a few questions we often receive, so guests can feel prepared for a beautiful celebration together.
If you don’t see your question here, feel free to send us a note at atribecalledcarrington@gmail.com. We’re happy to help.
Where will the ceremony and reception be held?
Both our “I do’s” and the celebration that follows will take place at:
The Estate at New Albany
5216 Forest Drive
New Albany, Ohio 43054
One beautiful location, all the love in one place.
Following the ceremony, guests will enjoy cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing as we celebrate together throughout the evening.
Will there be photos during the ceremony?
We will be having an unplugged ceremony, phones down, hearts up.
Our professional photographer and videographer will capture the moment so everyone can remain fully present. Once the reception begins, you are welcome to take photos and celebrate freely.
What’s the dress code?
Think Spring Romance at the House of Carrington: timeless elegance, soft blooms, and a hint of vintage charm.
Elevated cocktail attire is perfect:
• Cocktail dress, stylish skirt and blouse, or a chic jumpsuit
• Dress pants with a button-down and blazer
• A tailored suit (no tux required)
For a touch of spring magic beyond the wedding party palette, we recommend soft hues like peach, periwinkle, butter yellow, or delicate floral prints that feel light, fresh, and celebratory.
Please leave white for the bride. The wedding party will be in formal attire.
The goal: polished, comfortable, and ready to celebrate.
Is there parking available?
Yes. The Estate at New Albany offers on-site parking for guests.
Can I bring children?
Little ones are welcome at our discretion. Please refer to your RSVP for the details specific to your invitation.
Can I bring a plus one?
If your invitation included a plus one, we would love for you to bring them. If not, we’re keeping the gathering intimate with invited guests only. Thank you for understanding.
Do you have a gift registry?
We’ve accumulated enough mugs to start a coffee shop ☕
Instead of a traditional registry, we’ve created a Home & Gift Card Fund as we begin building our life together.
If you would like to contribute, you’re welcome to do so through the fund or bring something meaningful on the wedding day.
Is there a charity connected to the wedding?
Yes. One of the things we love about The Estate at New Albany is that for every wedding they host, they make a donation to a cause selected by the couple.
We chose to support the Greater Columbus Arts Council, an organization that helps fund and sustain arts, culture, and creative expression throughout our community.
If you feel moved to give, you are welcome to contribute to their Annual Fund here:
https://www.gcac.org/donation/annual-fund/
Your generosity helps support artists, public programs, and cultural experiences that enrich the Columbus community.
Will there be food and drinks?
Absolutely.
Guests will enjoy cocktail hour, dinner, and an open bar throughout the evening.
We kindly ask that guests do not bring outside alcohol, as everything has been thoughtfully arranged for the celebration.
Should guests tip service staff?
Our venue and vendors are being compensated for their services, but if you feel moved to show extra appreciation, gratuities are always welcomed and appreciated by service staff.
Examples may include:
• Bartenders
• Catering or wait staff
• Musicians or ceremony performers
A small cash tip is customary, but completely optional and at your discretion.
Can I request a song?
Our DJ has everything covered. While we won’t be taking song requests, we’ve curated a playlist that will keep the dance floor full and the celebration flowing.
What if I miss the ceremony? Can I still attend the reception?
The ceremony and reception are part of one shared experience, so we kindly ask guests to join us from the beginning of the celebration.

We look forward to celebrating together and sharing a beautiful evening surrounded by love and community.
