The two of us have been dating for three years and through popped tires, touring every museum we could find and countless board game nights, movie marathons and long walks our love has only grown. We will be getting married next July in a small ceremony on the island. We ask for your love, guidance and well wishes; and appreciate all of you.

We would like to acknowledge that we will be holding our ceremony and reception on the traditional and unceded territory of the Coast Salish Peoples, the traditional territory of the Snaw-naw-as First Nation. We are grateful to live and love on these lands.

About Us

Audra and Matt met back in 2021 when they were set up by a mutual friend for a blind date.&nbsp;Due to the state of the world, they had to have their first date at home, so Matt brought a collection of movie theatre snacks that he knew Audra loved.&nbsp;Together they stayed up talking until late in the evening, barely glancing at the TV.&nbsp;As the credits rolled on an entire season of TV, they worked up the nerve to admit to each other their shared spark and have been together ever since. The two were quick to introduce each other to their families.&nbsp;The joy they brought each other must have been immediately obvious, as both families were quick to give their support and bring the newcomer in.&nbsp;Through snowshoeing, board game nights, gingerbread building competitions and barbeques; the two quickly knitted each other into their families traditions. Together they have established many traditions that they cherish to this day.&nbsp;They love camping all across the island, though their favorite spot may still be Little Qualicum Falls where they spent their first ever trip battling against torrential rain, a popped air mattress and nowhere near enough warm clothes. Every year they go all in on elaborate Halloween costumes, the more homemade the better.&nbsp;The first year saw maybe their best with a complete homemade Cosmo and Wanda costume, a married couple from a cartoon, which included a wedding ring that accidently tricked several friends and family into thinking they were already engaged. They both have a love of games, and have spent countless hours playing with and against each other at their favorite board games.&nbsp;Recently, escape rooms and murder mysteries have become a favourite, with the two loving to combine their minds while combining their hearts. Finally, they have a shared love of animals.&nbsp;Be it the colony of bunnies that they regularly go on walks to feed, the fact that Matthew can not resist a flock of birds of any kind and Audra humours him or the excitement they share whenever they get to pet a goat; the two love to experience furry and feathered friends together.&nbsp;The star of this show is Audra’s cat Maxie, who has given her consent to their upcoming marriage after being bribed by many pets and treats. Their proposal came after three blindingly quick years, though both knew it was inevitable well, well before that.&nbsp;Audra had always shared her love of Christmas with Matthew, which had reignited his love of the holiday.&nbsp;To surprise her, he set up an entire set of Christmas decorations in July, the star of which was a very large box.&nbsp;Upon opening it, Audra found a smaller box, and smaller, until eventually she found a small box with a ring in it.&nbsp;She said yes.

Please enter through the gate near the chapel. Attire: Formal dress, no colour scheme required but please do not wear white. Parking: Available, but limited, in front of venue, with overflow across the street at serious coffee. Please allow priority access for elderly and young guests. We highly recommend car pooling.

Time: Starts at 4, Dinner at 5 Location: <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/UFZGjoshr3zDZThm8" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach, 2945 West, Island Hwy W, Qualicum Beach</a> Attire: No change in attire, but feel free to take off your tie, jacket or other outer layers. Beach access is available, so bring a swimsuits if you want to swim. Comfortable shoes are recommended as we will be hosting games on an Astroturf field. Parking: Street parking is available in front of venue. Please allow priority access for elderly and young guests. Food: We will be providing a BBQ burger bar with non-beef and vegetarian options. Please contact us if you have any specific dietary requirements. Drink: We will be providing a range of non-alcoholic drinks. Cooled space will be available for drinks guests choose to bring. Due to insurance purposes, alcoholic drinks are not allowed on the premises. Activities: Carnival games and competitions will be held before and after dinner; come ready for fun. Gifts: As we already live together, we have most of the household goods that we need right now. If you would like to give something, we are saving for a home and any help you want to provide would be appreciated.
