Nick and I had been talking for a few weeks, just getting to know each other. We had both hinted at getting together but nothing had been set in stone yet. I had gone out with some friends and they wanted to stay out a bit longer, and I wanted to go home. So I hinted again at Nick and jokingly asked for a ride. Well Nick was already in bed, he got up, got dressed and drove from Woodland all the way to Presque Isle to pick me up and drop me off at home.

The next day I went for coffee with some friends, and we ended up at Marden's. I found this couch that I liked and wanted for my house. However, I had to figure out how to get the couch home. So, I decided to ask Nick if he would help me get this couch. He came to my house, picked me up and we went to Marden's to get this couch. We loaded the couch and brought it to my house. Then we took my old couch out and moved my new couch in. While moving things around I found a gift card to Northern Maine Brewery, so I asked Nick if I could buy him dinner for helping me. Which he said no, he'd buy dinner.

The next day I went to Nick's for the Patriots game, and we went for a side by side ride, and had supper. I knew that weekend that Nick was the person I thought I could do life with. The first time we hung out led into a weekend long date of being together. We have been together just about every day since then. Nick is still the person who will help me at the drop of a hat, no questions asked.
