We met while we were on a competition BBQ team and got to know each other for about 10 months before we officially started dating. Our first date was a snowshoeing hike with my dog Dagny, which I was late for. From that point we started doing more outdoor activities together. We both enjoying hiking, snowshoeing, camping, trying new restaurants, and just spending time together.

While we were dating we decided to buy a house together, which was a huge adventure for the both of us. Over the years we have made it our own. It may be 'cozy' but it is ours. One of our first trips together was over Valentine's Day weekend in 2016, we went to Pagosa Springs and skied Wolf Creek. We've also been to Florida, Yosemite, San Francisco, Wyoming, Indiana, Grand Junction, Steamboat, Mt. Rushmore and various other trips. We also traveled overseas to London and Scotland. It was an amazing trip, we saw incredible landscapes and cities, experienced good food, and met nice people.

Brian decided to propose on our first camping trip of 2019 in Grand Junction. He knew how much I loved mountain biking there and how much I enjoy the area. We were hiking Mary's Loop in Kopelli when he went to one knee and asked if I wanted to marry him. It was a wonderful setting for us.
